I really love these figures! I have to respectfully diasgree! Just bought it today and really love it SOOOO much! I'm also a fanboy of Dark Knight Metal! Great review nonetheless
It's a good option if you don't want to buy 100 dollars worth of the same figures again to get the Devastator (I think single card Dev is sold-out on BBTS.) One thing I do kind of like with this new coloration is that the spikes don't clash as much with the rest of the body. It looks a bit more organic.
2:56, 7:28, 7:46, 10:01, 10:06, - Again, why does everyone phrase it like McFarlane is _personally_ making all these toys? Just because the company is named after him, doesn't mean he's doing _everything_ ... is he really that hands-on?? Anyway... this really seems like a cash-grab, especially with the Devastator (also can't get past the name - I keep thinking of the Constructicons. That's just me, though).
I completely disagree on the cards. I despise the pictures of the figures. It’s like let us, the collectors, take the freaking pictures and give us the original art of the source material.
Good point ..I think he started doing that because we noticed a lot of the artwork didnt resemble the figure ..I mean look at those animated series versions he did
Just now i bought the two packs, for my personal opinion the first release devastator til now i cannot get it then today i saw the two packs i just need devastator so that i can skip the first release. On my country it is hard to find. Depend on everyone reason. But great video bro keep it up!!. BEST!
Both figures are hard to get I only have the Superman but supes and devastator are hard to get so this two pack was good for collectors that need these
I got this for 45 bucks in toys and noise and I LOVE how it looks the base works wonders for my superman and raditz display I'm going for. It's a very must buy
That head sculpt alone makes this pack a definite pick up. Not sure what all the lament is over the reuse of a Supes 1000 😂 awesome figure. Good stuff Brad.
@@manuelmendez6022 Yes. Heated up Infected Supes and took off legs and red trunks. Did the same for Bizzaro fig and replaced blue trunks with the red. Cheers.
So after this you posted the video on IG about the shoulders on the original AC 1000 Superman, which I had never noticed before but of course once you know you can't unsee it, but now, thanks to you pointing it out my Superman has some fixed shoulders and he's even better than before.
I fear there is something missing in your display stand, talking about the place at the right side on the peaked rock - where you only got a hole in the footprint of Superman. Maybe Todd forgot in in your set... I am glad he didn't on mine :)
At the 6 minute mark I saw quite a few Neca tmnt 2-packs Brad...didn’t know that was one of your things. Are you a completionist w/the toon stuff or just picking what you want? I’m having a hard time lately keeping up with all those figures at price! Also great vid per usual.
I think the reason for using AC1000 superman is to make devastator more imposing. If he used the infected Superman buck they'd be much closer in size and he wouldn't be as intimidating.
I completely got screwed over by target on Justice League superman. Before the release date of June. I was sent an email that said the release date has changed and they will email me when there is an updated date. I have been sitting in that waiting for what like two weeks. I went back to the order and hit order details to which I'm told ok their site I need to accept the delay. Wish they had said that in the email. The new date that was then emailed to me was September 15 or something. I'm seeing people are getting their figures now... I am so mad!
It’s funny you said you like the action figure photos. I like it too. Another reviewer said they should have used the artwork and not the photos of the figures.
Trading cards could've been more better with real actual artwork based on the versions of the characters from the 2 pack. Rather than pictures of the figures instead. Original releases are way better and still have the 1000 Superman. Pass for me.
I actually bought a modified Devastator from ebay and it's the best Doomsday, ever. Instantly the crown jewel of my collection. Check out the 30 second video on my page--I'm not a pro or anything. I'm just proud of it!!
Let's just be real. They sell these for two reasons. they do it in order to get rid of whatever came out bad from the original production and/or to make extra money. I mean how do they not provide extra hands to the superman??? Or the extra head for that matter? It's to sell more of the same BS they bring out the first time. I have about half a dozen Multiverse figures (for toy photography purposes) but I'm done buying them. Theyre like Marvel Select when they first came out... Extra detail and less accessories. Now they're (select) is tossing in extra accessories
Looks like this Devastator has the larger spikes on the right arm and the older one has the larger spikes on the left arm. I might get these for customizing. I do have to disagree. I would rather have artwork on the card. Not a picture of the toy. I already have the toy. I don't need a picture of it. I was also cutting out the box art to make into "paintings" or display them as portraits of the characters by framing them. Now it would look like I'm framing pictures of action figures. :)
