Soap Studios and upcoming Modoking Tumblers are 1/12 scale. 37 cm long. This McFarlane is 45.7 cm, exactly 1/10 scale. All details are beautiful and fairly accurate EXCEPT for the canopy opening. The hinge is too far back because they needed it to open very high so a figure could be posed standing. Real life Tumbler (and Soap and Modoking's) opens halfway and the windshield part slides back leaving room for the character to stand up. McFarlane was lazy there. As always they do 95% and drop the ball for the last 5%
@@Mighty-VizioN $70 for the camo version without any figures. We still don't know the price of the black one with Lucius Fox figure. Most likely $95... Instead, Modoking version is $125 (in USA) and comes with the BatPod!
Expect Soap Studio wasted the DC license and did average at best figures and the bodies they used were cheaply made and are crap. Their tumbler was cool but super overpriced for what it was worth.
If you collect 1/12 figures and are watching this and thinking this looks good do yourself a favor and look up the The Dark Knight Tumbler and Bat-Pod Deluxe 1/12 Scale Model Kit by Modoking. That thing blows this out of the water. It has better detail and lights. The best part is it comes with the Batpod and it attaches and detaches from the Batmobile. How sick is that?
@@Mighty-VizioN fair enough. Just pointing out something to folk, that way they know their options. Imo the Mcfarlane looks off. The windshied is to high and doesnt slope at the correct angle. Also it seems to have plain plastic where the original had more shadows. It leaves the mcfarlane looking cheap? I think the Modoking is more accurate in sculpt, features and design. Plus you get lights, a flame effect for the engine, and a detachable and fully functioning batbod. Thats worth the extra $50. Plus if you wanted a batpod from mcfarlane thatd set you back $130 with aftermarket prices. Idk Modoking is the better deal imo if you collect 1/12 inch figures (which I do).
Yes. Definitely getting that one. We have it here for pre order for 89 dollars which is ok considering it includes the batpod. Also the tumbler has light effects.
Morgan Freeman is somewhere saying "thats odd, if feels like someone tugging at my limbs". Seriously its a cool car. I dont have the room for it but im glad its a two seater. Idk why 89 batmobile was always a one seater ehen its always been a two seater.
Congrats! This is a first review of it. Seems like you get stuff directly from Todd :D Do you have Soap studios by any chance? If yes, would like to see the size compare with it.
Nice review! Would be great if you show which Batman that is for reference. May I ask what rotating base is that? Would love to get it for my 1:12 vehicles. Thanks!
Looks great except for those front panels on each side that are tilted up. Not sure why they decided to do that. Hopefully there’s an easy way to modify it so it looks more like the actual Tumbler.
looks like it came form SPIN MASTERS than "Mc-Kenner" ..oh yah...2 seaters , great improvement compared to 89 Batmobile - but this one needs a lot of custom parts to be improved - great review
Oh awesome.. This is mcfarlane..? Its not yet available in my country,, I collecting a few figure mcfarlane too, in my channel.. I still beginner on RU-vid😅..
@FatBoyToy I'm thinking about it. My problem is I got the hot wheels remote control batmobile from "the batman" for $100. It's tough to get this for $90 and it doesn't really do anything
