After a lackluster reveal with the Sgt. Rock, Superboy and Fire figures, McFarlane Toys comes through with its next batch of Collector Edition figures including Ragman, The Red Hood and Clock King. What do you think of these reveals?
@@LylesFigureFiles Hey Jeff, do you use stands with your figs at all? If not, and you wanna try some out, I might be able to shoot you over some of my Action P.a.D.S. (Pose and Display Stands) ~~shameless plug~~
I am really digging the soft goods capes. Hasbro needs to step up. While I'm not collecting DC Multiverse right now, I'm feelin' the fact that Todd is going deep into the crates for some of his character choices.
I was very surprised to see a Ragman figure. A very unique character to say the least. It looks good for the most part but I think he needs more patches. And I’m wondering if they will paint patches on the back or cheap out because the cape covers it.
I definitely need Wonder Woman for my collection because i didnt quiet like the other versions and was waiting for an update. I love the whacky obscure characters like Clock King and Ragman so defintiely wanna get either or both. I hopng Todd will comeout with Condiment King, Kiteman and Polk-Dot man.
@@LylesFigureFiles Oh damn that is disappointing Thanks for the heads up.. Well that expllains why i like the face sculpt better. Upside is i guess i dont have to spend money.
For me, when I think Clock King, I think of the BTAS version, so I can pass on this one. I must admit, though, it's a cool looking figure I really want that Ragman, though, very underutilized charecter IMO
As excited as I was /am to hear of Ragman FINALLY getting recognized by a figure manufacturer, I am equally perplexed by something about it. McFarlane's choice to use the Jon Kent Superman body for Ragman seems odd. Surely the Ambush Bug body would have been preferable. Jon's boot cut and shoulder etch is a distraction. It's not quite as bat as his Batzarro debacle, but it's a close second.
We definitely agree that McFarlane is SUPER hit & miss but we disagree hard on this wave. Like Ambush Bug there's just...nothing to Ragman & Clock King, they appear to just be basic bucks with a different coat of paint & head. Not seeing much/any effort made on either figure. Super disappointed with Clock King especially as I've been a fan of his since first seeing him on Batman TAS. Hope you manage to beat this heat!
@@LylesFigureFiles Just any texture at all to their costumes. These look like well painted customs, a half decent customizer could make these without much effort and zero hyperbole. I'm fine with the costume choice for Clock King, as much as I do like the BTAS look I understand it doesn't make for a dynamic look for an action figure. If these types of releases where they're not bringing anything new to the table other than a new head were released at a 5$ cheaper price point as like a Basics type subline then I'd be totally fine with it.
