Great pick ups! Nothing more exciting then finding this stuff in your local Gamestop! It is really a great looking figure. Some loose joints sometimes with this stuff. You can use Clear nail polish around joints to tighten them up.
These figures are amazingly easy to pop apart, because almost everything is ball joints. So for example, if you want TBD belt off, just pop the body apart with a little heat. Because they're so thick, I recommend hot water, give him a swim in got water for 40 seconds or so, pull apart at that lower waist ball, and slip off the belt, then pop him back together. Oh, and for the loose shoulders, warm him up like above, pop the arm out from the shoulder socket, get in there with floor polish (I recommend painting the socket with Rejuvenate floor polish) let that dry, then pop his arm back in. Should be much better for holding a pose.
Thanks for checking out the video and the advice! Yeah I'm really liking these Mcfarlane warhammer figures. I did pop the arms out and used Kiki joint fix. That help tighten them up. I never took the waist apart. I don't need to remove anything off my figure. But I appreciate you informing me how to get the belt off. I figured you can take something apart somewhere if you wanted to. They put the belt on at the factory the same way you would remove it. So it makes sense it was done at the assembly of the waist. I mention in the review it llok like you can remove certain things to customize. But I don't like to advise that with certain things if you don't know what your doing or don't use heat. That's how stuff gets broken. Aside loose joints They are built well and They mix in well with all kinds of figure lines! Thanks for sharing your comments too👍
I haven’t had a joint issue yet but a layer of saran wrap in the joint might help. You just cut it to size and form around the ball joint then pop the arm back on. I have used this method on lego technic pins to stiffen up joints before though not sure if it would damage the figure.
Very cool figure! I didn't know McFarlane was making Chaos Marine toys now. I just ordered some very fancy Space Marines figures made by JoyToy from Big Bad Toy Store. They're pricey, like Mythic Legions figures, but super detailed and well painted. I used to build and paint Space Marine (and a few other Warhammer 40k) miniatures when I was a kid so I really wanted some cool examples for nostalgic reasons. They're 1/18 scale I believe so they'll play and display with my other 3.75" figures from Star Wars, GI Joe, MOTU ReAction, etc.
I to had no idea that Mcfarlane was making these until a year ago! I never played the 40,000 war Hammer games. But was familiar with them a bit. I have Several of these Mcfarlane Space Marines now! I mix them My Masters of the universe Classics and Masterverse collection as Good guy or bad Horde Trooper variants. They even mix well with the NECA aliens Space Marines as Armored Space Marines, but fighting Xenomorphs. It's amazing all those mintures Warhammer painting sets out their. I only found about them once I researched some back history for my first Mcfarlane Space Marine review which I did some months back. These are much more affordable then those ones you described from BBTS. Maybe pick one of these guys up! Mcfarlane has a bunch out. You might like them👍
Cool fig! I never ever saw that last WarHammer fig you reviewed awhile back. That skeleton head robot guy. He was so freaking cool looking. I kept looking at Target for months but only saw a different guy with razor claw fingers
Hey Royce! Whats up brother! Thanks for stopping by!✌️ I think most of these warhammer figures are found online or in Gamestops. Sometimes Targets might get them. But I got the last two Space Marine figures from Gamestop online. That claws figure you mentioned is The warhammer Flayed one I think. I reviewed that months back. You can army build with that one. Really cool figure. Its ashame these are hard to find in retail. But thats nothing new like most of the figures we want! Lol. Hope your doing well man!👍
The bad guys are absolutely always cooler! My first Masters of the universe classics figures were Scarcrow, Whiplash, Spikor and Kobra Kahn! All bad guys👍
Its Warhammer so theres no real good guys. Although Chaos is a faction that once had some of their guys ground and snort civilians like space cocaine so they are extra evil.
@@jaketheberge1970 Yeah I read some of the history on the back story of these guys. Really interesting stuff and game. It's amazing how long it's been around with the Table tops and board games.
Nice! Yeah this one was the last figure I picked up so far. I have a few of these Space Marines now. This space Marine is one of the coolest yet! Thanks for watching the video and sharing your comments👍
Easily my favorite from this line so far. Mine had a loose left shoulder joint. Off-topic, I saw a red Word Bearer online and it's being sold as a Gold Label edition but I'm not sure if it's real/fake although my instincts tell me it's the latter since the weapons aren't painted in the first place.
Yeah this is definitely one of my Favorite mcfarlane Space Marines yet. All my Space Marines has loose Shoulder joints too. Big issue with this stuff. It's possible that one is a bootleg or fake. It's hard to tell. But I have got some of the bootleg stuff and it's not much different then the real thing sometimes👍
Hey buddy Thanks for stopping by! Oh yeah this is one of the coolest yet! I really like collecting these as part of my MOTU classics or Revalations line as Anti horde troopers or even Space Marine for my neca Aliens line!👍😁
man...the paintjob on these PERFECTLY resembles an amateur unthinned-paint, First Attempt™ at painting a black legion space marine. How did they get the globby thick mini paint aesthetic so welldone and pristine throughout the upscaling process?! Insane! God that thing looks awful lmao I just cant get over it
Many of these toys today's are getting manufactured faster and cheaper! I always loved Mcfarlane figures such as creatures from spawn and Mechanical looking figures like this Space Marine. The sculpts and articulation are good with a lot of Mcfarlanes' modern figures today. But they really suffer with a lack of paint or bad paint compared to the figures he made years ago. I don't play the Warhammer games. So im not attached to the characters or very critical of what the paint should look like on these figures. It still looks very detailed to me at first, Glace. But I definitely see it's cheaper and done very quickly for packaging. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Oh man! I wish I had more space for stuff like that! This warhammer stuff would be awesome to army build things like that. Thanks for watching and great comment!👍
@@Themanchlid on the video you mentioned the space marine reiver...I live in Scotland & still not seen him , do you maybe think he's a U.S release only....I've seen the primaris intercessor necron figures in my local GW (well, Warhammer is its now known) store in Glasgow
@@johnroy2567 I don't Think they are an exclusive here! Possibility a Gamestop exclusive for a while. But usually they will go up on Amazon which ships all over..Also these figures have just been released in the last couple weeks. So the USA seemed to get the distribution first. It might take a month or two for these to be found in an country like Scotland or the Europe area. I would checkout your local comic book stores or areas that carry The mcfarlane figures like Warhammer.👍
@@johnroy2567 lol. Absolutely! That's what I'm all about and why we all come here. It's about the nastalgia we all grew up with or just want to feel like a big kid again! I only Buy and Review The things that I'm passionate about and add to my collection after the review. I just don't buy random stuff to have things to review. I want to be real with people and stand behind the things I buy and review. I usually collect Masters of the universe, Neca, Mcfarlane and some other odds and ends. People like your self are the ones I want watching and commenting on this channel. I try to keep things positive but Honest too if I don't like something I bought or it has problems. I expect the same from the viewers!👍
I pre-ordered 2 of these and I love them my only little iffy with it is the left hand, I wish it was closed instead of open because then he could hold his sword and his bolter I mean even the Ultramarine reaver comes with both hands closed but he does have a bolter with a vertical grip but all in all, great figurine definitely would consider if you like chaos space marines (in the time I post this their priced at $16.00 on amazon pretty good price)
Yeah this is one of the coolest space Marines yet! That was one of my issues I mentioned in the review about the open left hand. Aside that he has a really cool looking and so is the two weapons. You can't beat that price! Great pick ups👍
That's whats important that they are affordable. You also have keep in mind the Origins are just Reimagined versions of the Vintage figures but with a little better articulation and details.
@@xXShadowStormtrooperXx Oh good! Yeah the hands on some of mcfarlanes figures are strange sometimes! Either to soft or way to hard were you can barely open them. Sometimes heat or just messing with it will do the trick. No problem on the advice! What ever works in the end👍
