Choosing not to put drums in this feels like a silent ghost is watching over us. To Taylor and his unforgettable backbeat, we can still hear it and will always will.
Nearly 9 months after Taylor’s death and it still effects me. Never really felt a celebrity’s passing until Taylor. I’m not personally a fan of McFly, nothing personal, just not my kind of music. But this cover is beautiful, and a real tribute to Taylor. He would’ve loved it. Serious props to McFly, you can tell they put a lot of heart into this. Thanks for sharing.
I came here ready to slate this and chime in with a "how dare you" but I'm truly awestruck with how beautiful you made this song. And like so many others have said, removing the drums as a silent nod to Taylor is just sublime and a really artistic way of paying homage to one of the best drummers to ever drum for one of the best drummers to play guitar. Kudos McFly. Bravo
Oh my god what a beautiful cover 😭 I think I might even prefer it over the original, it feels more emotionally connecting and heartfelt. R.I.P Taylor ❤
Some covers come from cashin in and makin money or just to please others, but you can tell that this came from the heart and executed beautifully Well done lads
Wow, this cover felt so empty without drums, love how McFly has produced such an iconic cover, to remember Taylor's passing.Great job, what a tribute to such an amazing drummer! 👌
Omg this cover is absolutely amazing 🔥 It’s actually a little difficult for me to put into words, but the simplicity and rawness made the message and the tribute so powerful. And Danny’s vocal is just out this world. Thank you McFly for creating something so profoundly moving ❤
This made me cry. Took my son to see McFly went he was younger. Everytime i we drove to school he'd take over the dvd and it was McFly everytime. He's 28 now and just sent me this in our family group. I see him in some of these Words. 🥰
As a long time foo fan and part of the foo family worldwide thank you for such a beautiful tribute to Taylor the world is forever a darker place without that bright shining smile
A great way to honour Taylor Hawkins. I always like to hear Danny's voice and he did a great job doing another solo cover (who's looking ever so fit too!)
You are awesome. Foo fighters fans appreciate this kind of gestures. Such a great version, no drums on purpose, max feeling on it. As a foo fighters fan, thanks guys. Thanks a lot.
A haunting and beautiful rendition. If you do anymore covers could really picture Danny and Doug singing “All that I’ve got” by The Used with Doug on the chorus
Danny, you never cease to amaze me every time you sing. This was a superb version! You can feel the emotion in every note and the passion in every chord. Congrats! ❤️❤️ You guys are amazing!
Well well ..I'm think I was expecting to not like this...but...oh my life that was superb..and to echo the statement of the chap below..no drums.... brilliant...Rip Taylor and thank you Mcfly
Beautiful. As a Foos Fan, the last few weeks have been unbearable, thinking of their pain. This is such a perfect tribute to Taylor and what he brought to each and every track. Rest in Rock T, our hearts break for all who loved you xx
@@lauraintheskywithdiamonds9185 Definitely. I like a more baritone voice like Danny, George Esra, Rck Astley etc, to the more tenor Tom and Dougie. But Tom and Dougie compliment Danny so well and do amazing harmonies. I love Danny's solo songs as well though.
My fav foos song by my fav band. This was so beautiful, taylor was my hero and i saw him when i was 9, am 14 now and have been so upset for so long. U guys did very well, never stop, live every day as if it was your last, cos u never know if it will be.
Danny your voice is so well suited for this song. And oh wow does it sound amazing!🤯 Well done Dougie stepping in for guitar. You guys made a fantastic cover!🤘🏻
Le puse garra toda la onda me encanto me encantó tu homenaje!!! El mejor te amo bebe hermoso DANNY sos hermoso bello 💞🤗💘🤟😌😍🥰 . QPD TAYLOR gran batero y persona
This is an insanely great version. Biased because I am a Mcfly-fan. But I'm really impressed with that vocal control. It's so nice to hear how Danny seems to really have found a new style of singing. Keep doing what you do, I love it. I've never been into Foo Fighters and I didn't know who Taylor Hawkins was before he died, so I won't fake it and say I miss him, but everyone can see how he clearly made his mark around the world. Rest in peace.
