Legendary band of McGuffey Lane is an American country rock band from Athens, Ohio, and/or Columbus, Ohio, United States. The group was formed in 1972 by Terry Efaw and Steve Reis, who played together under the name Scotch & Soda. After adding songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist Bobby E. McNelley, they branded themselves McGuffey Lane, the location of Reis's Athens, Ohio, home.
The band eventually expanded to a sextet and became well-known locally, releasing their first album on their own Paradise Island record label. The LP sold more than 40,000 copies, and eventually resulted in their signing with Atco Records. They reissued the debut in 1980 and toured with the Charlie Daniels Band, The Judds, and the Allman Brothers Band. The follow-up, Aqua Dream, featured the single "Start It All Over", which spent three weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 97 in February 1982.

I who have heard the sound of McGuffey Lane and of American Country Rock and of latter to the south of Southern Rock and such, You know who they are. And right around was always McGuffey Lane whom I never got to see until now believe it or not. Remember hearing songs on radio back in the day and remember "People Like Me". This being some other original to open with here though. My brother probably had so had seen them as he was fortunate to back in the day along though with the members. But to say of the current and being around up to 50 years and still holding up with some founding members it was great to see and enjoy the band.
I contributed and not only went to the show and just for show footage is the only intent. And I bought 2 album set of the first two albums on cd for me to enjoy. As I was leaving i said thank you up at the stage and Molly said thank you back and liked my shirt of The Beatles Help I wore to the show. So thanks to all in the band for me and everyone seeing with the big crowd and was great!! Support the artists and certainly a venue like Levitt with donations and merchandise of Levitt and the artists themselves as you can so they keep being able to come back. Communities to come together and enjoy shows. Thanks McGuffey Lane and being back in Dayton.
