McHale's Navy Full Episodes: Season 1x19 | "The Natives Get Restless" Binghamton angers some of the native islanders, then must make amends with them in order to make a good impression on a certain VIP, who is due soon for a visit.
ALL OF THESE VARIOUS OLDER CLASSIC TV EPISODES ARE REALLY GREAT TO SEE ONCE AGAIN SO MANY YEARS AFTER THE DAYS OF OUR YOUTH WITH MANY NOW VERY WELL KNOWN ACTORS BEFORE THEY REACHED THEIR ULTIMATE FAME - THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR FINDING AND POSTING THEM HERE.
I agree with you sir, these classics will never be repeated in Hollywood, the Rubbish started with M.A.S.H. & HOGAN HERO’S and so called comedy Rubbish like THE BIG BANG THEORY (all Gays) and other Rubbish they make in Hollywood now!!! McHALES NAVY was a classic a real comedy ever made in Hollywood. Thank you RU-vid.
I’m 61 and I used to watch this all the time sorry I’m watching it only on my phone but I am watching episodes that I’ve never seen before I’m glad I can see the new ones it’s pretty funny still
Thanks for showing these. I’m just laughing my ass off. I was their at universal studios where they made these pictures and somewhere there’s a picture of me and mom and dad with Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway with the PT boat in the background at this little pond they had in the back round. Great memories!
John Bockkom. I remember this show from when I was a child of around 6 to 8 years of age. I may have watched it at my Aunt's store or maybe at home also? Been a day or so. Interesting that you actually saw the set in the day.
Based on their shoulder patches on their dress white uniforms, Christy, Virgil, and Bell are all petty officers, 1st class, Willy and Gruber are petty officers, 2nd class, and Happy is a seaman (he does not wear a patch).
When this was on the b/w tv, in the back living room, I was safe, for 30 minutes; it would occupy his attention, from me. But; I could usually hear it, from the kitchen, at the other end, enough to imagine what they were seeing. Had to be careful, not to make a sound...( to laugh), except that of scrubbing everything, to inspection ready. Now; at 64, I get to watch it... "safely", and this show still gives me the same warm feeling... Something kind. But, I actually miss the commercials, too. Yet, very nice not to!
Safe from whom? The grammatical mistake here is called anaphor. Pronouns can only be used if the subject they are referring to has already been established. It’s like saying “It’s nice.” That is meaningless unless we know what “it” is referring to. Anaphora is a Greek word meaning referring back to something already stated. Sometimes context can establish this as in “It’s raining.” We know already that “it” refers to the weather as that is usually the only thing that can rain. “It’s nice.” Might also refer to the weather but it has to be made clear that you are talking about the weather beforehand as in, “ You would like the summer here. It’s nice.” Yeah I know this sounds pedantic but I have taught this for over 30 years and written books about it. I’m telling you not to be a smart ass but unless someone teaches you how are you going to learn?
This is such a great episode. I wonder if they said to the actors that day something like "Hey, we're gonna throw these fake spear made of wooden poles at you guys today. Don't worry, they won't be sharp." Worse, no bonus.
MY FOLKS ATE SUPPER AT 5,:00 p.m. so they could wash all the dishes.and WE ONLY GOT TO WATCH SHOWS,THAT CAME ON BEFORE 8,:30 p.m.BECAUSE I HAD TO GO TO SCHOOL,THE NEXT DAY.
It wasn't until post WWII that the Navy standardized the rank to be worn on the left sleeve. Depending on the rating from WWII and earlier, the "rate" badge was worn on either sleeve.
McHale had pretty senior crew at 22:03 I see 3 1st class 1 2nd class and the radio guy is a 1st class Captain Stubbing is the junior one in the bunch Binghamton’s yeoman is 16 year 3rd class Based on their shoulder patches on their dress white uniforms, Christy, Virgil, and Bell are all petty officers, 1st class, Willy and Gruber are petty officers, 2nd class, and Happy is a seaman (he does not wear a patch).
What a petty they never got any promotion. Did the writer forget that? And pretty officers, are they the gay ones? Or do they just play that way? I don't understand a boondog of this. Vintage humour....
What's funny to me is that the PO's are wearing the crow on different sleeves.--some right, some left. Is this Hollywood messing up again or was this just different in WWII?
@@deirdre108 back in the day different ratings wore stripes on different sides. My father was Navy during and shortly after WW2 and confirmed this. I think the difference was based on above deck and below deck ratings I was an Electrician’s mate in 70’s and all sailors wore them on the left
THE FUNNIEST CHARACTERS IN THIS SHOW IN THIS ORDER ARE: CAPTAIN BINGHAMTON, EDSON PARKER, LT. CARPENTER, McHALE, FUJI, AND GRBBER WHO ALWAYS MESSES THINGS UP.
t.v was good decent comedy back then! fcc and everything! but is it me or after the strike in 2002 didn't t.v. go in the toilet? reality was so much cheaper at the time! now they want millions a episode with canned laughter!
@@robhofer2390 SOME OF IT WASN'T! THEY HAD AUDIENCES TAKING TOURS STOP OFF FOR 10 MINUTES WATCHING LIVE SHOT'S! BUT WHY THE HATING SOUND'S LIKE A LIBERAL COMPLAINING!
