@@omgwtfpwnd I have been selling McIntosh gear for over 30 years and the fans do care about the anniversary editions, same as Porsche and Ferrari fans, just a bit special and they dig it.

@@DeVanceElectronicLifestyle The only highly collectible cars are the much older ones. The newer ones go to repeat clients who have the most influence. And there’s nothing different between two cars or amps that are the same except a badge and engraving. LOL.

This unit has multiple outputs so you would take one of the extras full range outputs and hook your subwoofer to that.

What are you talking about? We have owned McIntosh gear for over 20 years including this piece and newer (MC3500 MkII) They are performance machines and we have had ZERO issues. I once thought I had an issue with our MT10 turntable so I called McIntosh directly. They immediately connected me with a tech in their factory! Turns out it just needed a drop of the supplied oil on the spindle that I had forgotten about. Great American company with fantastic customer service.

@@jb.2986 Zero issues is not correct. It’s not correct for any brand of any product. For example someone bought the MA1200 and it died within weeks. It was replaced but the new one has had about 3 seperate issues within about 6 months. Same person bought the turntable that has a persistent hum. I’m not saying the gear is rubbish I’m simply saying if I spend $30,000 on the likes of a MA1200, which is its cost here, I don’t want to be buying problems. I seem to have bad luck with purchases so I’m very conscious of the reliability factor. Regarding service some people have claimed good service but others have claimed the opposite.

I'm sorry you are having issues. Again, we have had ZERO issues with any of our Mac gear with over $100k invested in our system. YMMV.@@aussie8114
