That is one perspective. Notice McKenna was nervous. Never looked at the camera plus her neckline was red. The host was doing her best to help her feel less nervous. AND…it all worked out. When we’re nervous our mind can go blank. The bottom line…this was helpful and gorgeous design. TYVM for giving us more beautiful ideas to expand our quilting. Awesome! Awesome!

I do felt beaded and sequined 9rnaments and wall hangings with all kinds of snow village scenes and manger scenes which involve cutting out small to large pieces. I have done piecing with material using freezer paper and have done the decorative stitches on my sewing machine. Love what has been done with this work-just so beautiful. My granddaughter loves butterflies. I have the Flights of Fancy panel from Jordan's Fabrics to make hers with. I bought 4 panels and could do a layered look on some areas.

Gorgeous quilts and great tips! Sometimes I layer and quilt my block before adding the applique, especially if I am only making a single piece. Then I add the applique and tack it down along the edge. I like the tip of using monofiliment thread and making a simple straight stitch. Thanks for sharing this video!

Should you be using steam on it to adhere it well?
@Jesusistheonlyway4us
@Jesusistheonlyway4us 2 года назад
@@karenrichardson6767 I’ve tried it with and without steam. I have noticed that when I repeat ironing the same pieces (when I add more appliqués to that area) that’s when the fusible weakens the most. Is that normal?

@marnierobinson5090

Yes the real small delicate pieces (eyes, etc) usually fall off and don't adhere to fabric so I sew them down separately. I don't use monofiliment thread. I like to create my wall art using different coloured threads.

Same question, thanks. The fusibles I have tried were all very frustrating to work with. I wish there was one I could trust to last through a washing. I recently bought some basting spray, and regretted it because it leaves a sticky film on everything nearby too. I would love to make a quilt to use on my own bed, but the idea of the raw edges makes me nervous. These are beautiful, but I would need more info before trying it.
