The builder has a lot of passion in his boats. The cameraman is probably the worst I have seen. As the builder is talking about the kill tank and fuel tank while pointing. We would like to see them.. the bow ladder would also be nice to pay a little attention with camera.. Fantastic boats and builds
tbh im abit suss about the hight of them as sit pretty low at the back and how they will ride in some decent chop can't seem to find info on how hey ride
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vv3pVbIM0kQ.html Try this video for one example. McLay have a strong reputation, my father owned one at one point and he too thought it rode beautifully.
Jeremy, I have a 571 Sportsman here in QLD. IN approx. 80 hours of offshore Moolooolabah, Moreton Bay (known for a short/sharp chop) and Hervey Bay I've not had to use the bilge pump at all and the bung removal has been dry at the end of every trip. No problem for me so far, I rate the Mclay. I believe in the video mobstamaniac linked (Kraken) was built with higher sides by request.
Hydrochloric acid and the guy doesn't where a shield or safety glasses. Was this a dog and pony show for the camera @ 15:30 . I also don't know why the owner says that foam under floor is not on, yet above floor is ok. Seems odd to me that the foam will react underfloor, but not above. If it 100% sealed underfloor your not going to have any condensation to affect the foam, furthermore the foams today are supposed to be inert. Very confused here...
Show more of the ribs construction. Can't see anything. All I can see it's longitudinal ribs but none running across. All other alloy boats I see run like a grid construction under the floor. This look like only longitudinal stringers are used then the floor hold everything together. Not a ver strong design.
