McMahons Point is a harbourside suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. McMahons Point is located 3 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of North Sydney Council.
Part of Cammeraygal country, the headland later called McMahons Point was granted to William Blue in 1817. It was named for Michael McMahon, a local politician and businessman, who advocated such infrastructure as water supply, ferry services and trams.
