Although some cops get fired for various reasons, they are much less likely to be fired for misbehavior than are employees in private business who commit similar misbehavior. In Texas, it is easy for private businesses to fire employees, unlike cops who often receive mild discipline instead of being fired.

How can Reyes be trusted with being a passive, objective witness in any case he’s involved in!? A police chief called me to his office at City Hall and tried to SA me and I flipped out! After running out of city hall, the next morning I was in the city atty. office telling him, he BETTER do smtn cause I was about to go to the newspaper! I got a letter of apology from him and the city! He was transferred to another dept. in the same county! Most cops are on a power trip and sex is part of it!

Nobody should agree with the chief’s decision. In fact, the chief should be charged with accessory after the fact to the theft of service the officer’s were involved in. Flat out, the officers were involved in criminal actions.

Well there free and not monitored like regular patrol policemen are. Detectives could go where they want on there shift and there by themselves. Detectives and narcs could even go to a bar and nobody would know who they are.
