Hey, amazing information. I plan on Applying for BScN after im done my Pre Health Sciences. Is there a pathway that is available in this program to get involved with the mental health side of nursing?? (Therapy, psychotic emergencies, child psychology, etc.)
"There is no formal pathway, but lots of opportunities to expand your education in psych nursing! We take mandatory psych classes in first year, and if u fill your electives w/ classes from the general psych dept u can minor in psych. Also in 3rd-year placement, we have the opportunity to get a mental health unit (acute psych, forensic psych, schizophrenia) and in 4th year you get to rank placements that you’re interested in, which can include any psych such as psych emerg!" ~ Nava
