im not from the usa but what the dude said about dividing, men and woman, rich and poor,is 100% true from what i can see happening in the usa in 2022,the dems plan has worked and the usa is more divided than ever.
@@warrenamos535 Yep. With the overturning of Roe Vs Wade they literally polarized women, log on a dating app and most of them have some trite drivel about if you're not voting blue as a man then you have no chance with them lol. They don't even really care about the agenda of either party, just which one gives them the most freedom from responsibility.
It was scary to me 5 years ago that we are not seeing the patterns/signs...the debates have tripled from 5yrs ago ...the trend is steepening 10 yrs could be too later...I feel the statement is scarily correct in this very moment
It's always easy to tell who is correct. I'll give you a hint it's the person that speaks slowly clearly concisely and speaks to be understood not to confuse
If you have to have a "cheat sheet" to figure out who's right instead of just listening to what they're saying mixed with their actions, I promise you'll be wrong every time, even when you're right.
The pay gap exists but is not due to inequality... its due to different choices made by men and women, be it in working hours...profession...starting a family...etc... the pay gap shouldn't be interpreted as sexism against women or as an indicator that women are treated less than men... it should be basically an indicator that women are finding the choices they make when it comes to profession or lifestyle to be worth more to them than going after the same jobs and the same hours than men do... we have a free market... and like this guest said, a greedy capitalist will certainly hire all women if this will lower his labor cost by 25%... what stops any company from doing that? there is ample evidence from data that women are choosing to work less hours...are choosing not to go to science and engineering where pay is higher...and are choosing to have more focus on family and children... this is all on average, obviously individual cases vary and there are women who work longer hours at engineering jobs while there are stay at home dads... again think of it that women on average are getting something else for this pay gap, otherwise they wouldn't make those choices...
always have a 60 year old family doctor that is male 9 times out of 10... rare to have a 60 year old female family doctor in Canada because they retired years ago..
Look at Rachel in this clip and it tells everything He was ask by her then said she was interrupted when he was making his point then she interrupted him.
Idk about other women but I have always made more money than my male coworkers and bumped up to manager faster than they did because of my hard work honesty and loyalty to the company. I’ve had female and male bosses too. Never had a wage gap and I’ve had a lot of different positions in different industries. I now work for myself and make more hourly then my husband who has loads of experience under his belt 🤷🏻♀️ I feel he should make more then me at this point actually because he’s stayed in the same industry his whole working life! his employers are cheap!
My wife tells me the same thing and Ms. Rosen I love and respect my wife very much. I find my wife to be intelligent, well educated and very much intoned and involved on the true issues!
Why is this even a discussion? Can't we all just solve this issue by releasing pays by profession? Compare a man and woman Dr, compare a man and woman construction worker, compare a man and woman teacher, don't compare a NASA scientist man to a woman librarian. It'll get us no where. Flash forward to today, Oct 2, 2022 ...... If women were paid so much less, then why do so many men chop off their weewees and call themselves she/her/hers??
No, no, no, we can't do that because facts are sexist when they don't fit the feminist narrative. She said herself: "Don't tell me the reasons!" We should just be paying women to do less work in general in her mind I guess.
That Alex Castellanos dude is awesome. He blasts Maddow's and Rosen's points to smithereens with good cheer and calmness. Maddow starts out with a flawed premise and she just keeps on spouting her ridiculous garbage. What a joke she is. XD
Rachel maddow: "its weird that you're interrupting me and not letting me make my point" Right after she and everyone else in there keeps interrupting him mid sentence
Why can’t they answer the question that if companies really want to make more profit, why wont they just hire women? Why are they even hiring men for more when women can do just as much as men for less?
with an individual as smart as that there really isn’t true condescending misogyny. He’s making a point and often times assertive or dominant figures (in this case a man) will come off aggressive when the opposing side doesn’t take well to confrontation or ideas that don’t resonate with their agendas completely. Misogyny versus logic. Throwing either of those around in the wrong light is truly counterproductive.
Why is Hilary Rosen apologizing???? She spoked the TRUTH..... Ann Romney lives an extremely privilage life, does not know hardship will never ever know what its like to struggle.... So again why is Hilary Rosen apologizing??????
She genuinely thinks that the majority of the 40% of people living within our borders that aren't paying taxes are working women? The ignorance on display here is nigh unfathomable.
It's like in sports The pay gap is based on if a lot of people are watching you as an athlete then they will send the Team A lot of money cause tons of people are watching and with that money the best players get paid a lot. Modern women think just cause they show up to play whether no one's watching them or they're not a good player, They still think they should get Equal to a man that's the best athlete in the team. What kind of dumb thinking is that.
WNBA and Women’s soccer want to make as much as Men do, but even women would rather watch the men and wear their jerseys. How do they expect to make more money if nobody cares to watch them?
“Don’t tell me the reasons why” So we’re supposed to pass laws based on face value? The 70 cents on the dollar figure got there somehow and knowing how is just as important as the total. When challenged it’s a sexism or a “misunderstanding”.
Am I the only one who noticed that Cathy keeps trying to change the subject? My favorite line was when she said that gas has doubled under Obama. Really, gas is $10 a gallon? Because I remember paying $5 a gallon under Bush. He whole point was that women are concerned with the overall economy. Which is funny considering that the economy is doing better under Obama. The Unemployment rate is lower. Not to mention that the entire financial collapse took place under Bush, not Obama.
Almost every boss I've had from my teen years to now, have been WOMEN. Whether they are making bank or not, they sure as hell were large in charge and making more than I ever had. but they still complain about wages
7:14 I wish most women would be as correct as they are passionate. But it the opposite women want to be passionate first and objectively correct second.
"when men have medical issues, they are medical. When women have medical issues, they are political" is this statement starting manifest or it already manifested?
were are the facts and statistics that point out that women makes less because of discrimination? im sorry but if im an employer and a female decides to take half a year off because she has kids to take care of and another person usually a man takes her place to pick up the slack the reliable employee will get paid more. stop whining and man up women !!!
I don't understand how talking about the social agenda of the Republican Party is distracting from the "real issues." It's a concern for 51% of Americans, the idea that your body is not your own. If it wasn't a "real issue" then it wouldn't resonate so strongly. It's wonderful right-wing projection here though, because You know what's not a "real issue" that's definitely used to distract? Gun legislation.
You just used a counter example for your own argument. Feminist issues resonate strongly because they are real issues. Gun Legislation issues resonate so strongly because they... aren't issues? Okay, buddy.
Right wingers carry out very real legislation against reproductive rights, thus making it a real issue. Left wingers very seldom actually go after guns, and when they do it's in very limited scope. It's not a real issue because it's not something that's actively legislated. That doesn't stop the right wing media from attacking anyone the Dems put on a ballot of "taking away our guns."
What is "legislation against reproductive rights" though? Being against abortion? Being against paying for the other person's birth control? And Democrats OFTEN attempt to legislate gun control. However, the laws almost never get passed or are shot down almost immediately after they are thought up. Diane Feinstein is strongly against gun rights and her gun bills have all been shot down before consideration.
Legislation against reproductive rights means a lot of things. Republicans have put forward bills that would outlaw birth control pills, they've passed laws that shut down clinics, they've passed laws that mandate additional waiting periods, laws that mandate invasive ultrasounds for no reason other than to try to shame the woman in question. Since 2011 93 laws restriction reproductive rights were passed, not introduced but passed, more than 4x the number seen in the previous decade. How is this to be interpreted other than a very real crusade against reproductive rights by the Republicans? Meanwhile, the number of bills concerning guns is absolutely dwarfed. You've named one democrat who's made her position on gun-rights very clear, and noted that her and those like her haven't made any progress on gun-control. How is it an issue if their bills haven't made any progress, and the number of laws proposed is essentially inconsequential? Lets not forget that the strongest piece of federal gun legislation in the US on the books at present was passed by a Republican, not a Democrat, the Brady Act.
Vaishino Again, you don't specify the laws passed for "restricting reproductive rights". Because, killing a child isn't a right. Now, purchasing your own contraceptives should be completely up to you. Of course they haven't made any progress on Gun Control -- because guns are not what commit the crime. There are over 200 million gun owners in the United States yet we have 12,000 murders. The difference between guns and an abortion are that in abortion the victim is always innocent, which isn't the case with guns. So I can't exactly empathize with your views on "invasive" ultrasounds. You still get the option of killing the child, you just don't get to pretend it's a slush of flesh. While I agree that federal (heck, even state-level) bans on contraception are stupid and pointless, not just women have sex -- and any law that would ban pill-based contraceptives would also prevent men from getting the same thing.
Never understood why the GOP hasn't been hit harder on wanting more governmental control on social issues when they're supposed to be the anti-government party.
This whole thing started on right-wing conservative radio stations, then was galvanized by the mainstream tv media (on both sides, of course). But why does the GOP say the government shouldn't be in our lives, but wants to mandate what women do with their doctors or how health insurance companies cover their customers?
Glad to see that people are using Pakistan as a metric for determining where the United States stands in the world. Not only does it expose what you really think about America, but making such a disgusting analogy also proves how detached from reality you are.
i hope this discussion opens voters eyes to know facts. which party has consistently been there for union worker, for women and minority rights. these 2 republicans keep saying it's about economy mean while they introduce and don't pass many things that matter overwhelmingly to almost all americans. they are hoping for the same voters to vote in republicans who dismantle unions and try to keep the wealthiest 2% of americans richer and richer.
Bullshit. He just had his facts and figures straight regarding men's and women's average incomes and working hours. Rachel was all emotional and kept on ranting on her biased "77 cent per dollar" obsession. She totally humiliated herself there. It's like saying; "a McDonalds employee who works 40 hours earns less than a surgeon who works 50 hours. That's not fair!"
Lyzzi Bennit with an individual as smart as that there really isn’t true condescending misogyny. He’s making a point and often times assertive or dominant figures (in this case a man) will come off aggressive when the opposing side doesn’t take well to confrontation or ideas that don’t resonate with their agendas completely.
The Concise Statement LOL COME come on. Smack down. Are you blind. She doesn’t talk sense. She is spitting crap just like the left likes to do. What a shame. Keep on trying to make people feel sorry for women. That won’t happen. No one need to feel sorry for them.
