You're very kind to say so. I didn't realize the audio was so bad on this video! I use Ubuntu Linux for my screencasts, so unless you are also using Linux, I'm not sure how helpful these will be (but they are all free, so easy enough to try them out). The screen recorder is "SimpleScreenRecorder". The writing pad software is "Xournal", which allows you to write on various backgrounds (lined, grid, blank), and can also allow you to import PDF files to annotate them using the pen tool.
