I have been watched about 5 or 6 of the videos and they are Super help!!!. Glad I found them. I have been studying for the 680 exam for weeks from various sources and this is a real nice change. Thanks so much and PLS keep it up.
You won't have any problems if you keep using disk 0 as dynamic. It just allows more features to the operating system. The only problem you will have is if you attempt to use the hard disk in an very old operating system or a non Microsoft system.
You can only convert a dynamic disk to a basic disk if you delete all the data off the disk. A dynamic disk will work the same as basic disk, the only difference is that if you can't use dynamic disks with a none Windows operating system or very old Windows Operating systems like Windows 98. If you can't create a mirror it is most likely you do no have anther hard disk in the system with enough free space. Try shirking the volume first.
Hi, I followed your steps but I can't do the 'Add mirror' option. Also I converted my disk 0 to dynamic and now I can't convert it back to a Basic disk. Can you help me please? Or anyone?
+itfreetraining As far as you know, can Linux see dynamic disks and interpret them as such, so that if I boot out of Windows and into a live Linux session, the disks will still be mirrored?
