This week we head south to work with the Muskellunge Club of Wisconsin (www.muskiewi.org) to help put some 14 to 17" musky yearlings into Okauchee Lake in Wisconsin. Every year we make donations to a handful of musky clubs to help give back to the resource and preserve the future of musky fishing. Hopefully the survival rate will be much higher for those baby ski’s. With the new lower size regs on pike in okauchee a ton of the pike have been kept this ice season which is awesome, it was getting ridiculous. It should help a lot for stocked muskies to have less competition. Do you know what strain they stocked? Looked like leech lake strain?

Those are just normal WI strain musky. They always look spotted when they are smaller.

@@TeamRhinoOutdoors do you know at about what size they would lose the spots and look like normal Wisconsin strain? We’ve caught a lot of fish in the low 30” range that are still spotted. We assumed they were from the leech lake strain they have been stocking occasionally.
