He was still talking down to WWX, bringing up all the things from the past that were not completely WWX's fault. It was mostly the cultivation world targeting WWX and JGS and JGY taking advantage of that, making WWX look bad and manipulating everything behind the scenes. Only JYL's death was a coincidence. JGY kind of knew that JZX would get hurt which is why he sent him to Qiongqi path. If JC still cannot digest these information, I don't know what kind of an adult he is. He's still a petty child that does what his mother always told him to do, blame WWX for everything that goes wrong, especially when WWX himself is involved. Nothing else mattered. WWX already moved on and accepted his ill deeds. And he suffered by dying the worst way possible. He got his fair share of punishment that JC didn't need to give. But JC still doesn't care. What else does JC want WWX to do? He even talked shit about LWJ which is the worst thing.
@@loving-larry yeah maybe entering the hall without permission did warrant some anger but that doesn't excuse the fact that Jiang Cheng takes every chance to spit venemous words for no damn reason. In the end he turned out just like his mother, she was insecure and jealous of Wei Wuxian's mother and proceeded to ruin a childs life due to that jealousy, insulted Wei Wuxian's parents constantly infront of him and then pretty much threatened Wei Wuxian to take care of Jiang Cheng at the cost of his life. Jiang Fengmian wasn't any better, all he did was observe the abuse silently and then run away from his problems like a coward. Jiang Cheng inherited both of his parents pathetic antics. Just like his father, he silently observed and did nothing to defend Wei Wuxian when the cultivation world was making him out to be the villain. Jiang Cheng did not even trust Wei Wuxian and was easily swayed by the words of Jin Guangshan when the old bastard told him that Wei Wuxian was trying to overthrow him. Jiang Cheng then, just like his mother, decided to project his jealousy and insecurity onto Wei Wuxian. He refused to help Wei Wuxian save the innocent. In the end even Wei Wuxian realised that Jiang Cheng was loosing his righteousness and morals, so he defected from the sect to protect his own morals. Jin Ling grew up hating Wei Wuxian because he believed that he killed his father and mother. Jiang Cheng despite knowing that the latter wasn't true, never bothered to correct him. As it that wasn't enough Jiang Cheng also projected alot of his insecurities on Jin ling and the boy grew up with a less than acceptable personality. If I remember correctly then this scene in the ancestoral shrine was after Wei Wuxian's innocence was revealed to the cultivation world. And even if it wasn't , Jiang Cheng still has no right to spout toxic shit to Wei Wuxian. Even if this wasn't the ancestoral shrine and some random garden where they met, Jiang Cheng would've still been a toxic bitch.

This should have happened in the actual series. Jiang Cheng was very toxic, and Wei wuxian just took his bs with his mouth shut, which pissed me off. Jiang Cheng act’s like he is the only one who suffered. He conveniently forgets all the abuse Wei Wuxian also suffered from his mom, how he lost his parent’s as a toddler. Wei Wuxian never let the abuse affect his relationship with Jiang Cheng, but jiang Cheng did, and resented Wei Wuxian for being a better cultivator, and everything and anything else about him. When Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian slayed the monster in the cave, Jiang Cheng was too much of an ass, to recognize their impressive accomplishment. Wei Wuxian, always picked him up and reassured him after his mom put them both down. Notice that Jiang Cheng never cared to reassured Wei Wuxian whenever his mother talked crap about him. Jiang Cheng also always talked about his dream and what he wanted, but never cared to know or even ask what Wei Wuxian dreamt of, no no no, he only talked about what he wanted and the role he expected Wei wuxian to play. He never saw Wei Wuxian as more then a servant, and expected Wei wuxian to do anything and everything he wanted no questions asked, which is ridiculous as hell. With Jiang Cheng it was always. “Me me me me me.” Everything always had to be about him. The only good thing he ever did was stop Wei wuxian from getting captured, losing his core in the process. A debt wei wuxian paid when he gave Jiang Cheng his core. But Jiang Cheng’s development stopped there and never resumed. He killed innocent people simply for having the surname “wen”, and no trauma isn’t an excuse for it. It was also partly out of spite for Wei wuxian choosing to protect them. He had the audacity to raise his sister’s son the same way his mother raised him which was toxic and abusive. He suffered from that, but saw no issue in doing the same bs to Jin ling. He also had the audacity to lie to everyone that Wei wuxian killed his sister which was a huge lie, and spent years feeding that bs to his nephew, making him grow to hate wei wuxian. Which btw, his sister would hate him for doing, because she loved Wei wuxian very much, and her son as well, so Jiang Cheng turning his back on her brother, and manipulating the hell out of her son would be an issue for her. When he found out he had Wei ying’s core, he was an ungrateful ass. He’d never gotten anywhere if it wasn’t for someone else’s core and had the audacity to say a bunch of bs to Wei ying, and spit the “you abandoned me” bs, when Jiang Cheng chose to abandon him when Wei Wuxian refused to abandoned his morals for him, which was a ridiculous request. Jiang Cheng ended up alone as a result of the consequences of his actions. He made terrible decisions, and is incapable of admitting his faults. Wei Wuxian is no saint, and doesn’t pretend to be. He admits all of his mistakes without shame.
Everything you stated is very true. JC was indeed too toxic for WWX since he made every single thing about 'him' or the sect. Just like his mother. I was glad that they didn't get together even as friends. Nothing could be done to repair their relationship so it was best they separated. The thing I hate about JC the most is that he talked shit about LWJ only to make WWX feel hurt. Really, the toxic ways in which he hurts people just makes me nauseous.
