This is my favorite song that Daryl sings! He can sing ! So cool that he makes appearances at his restaurant and sometimes sits in his corner. If I lived there, I would go to his restaurant every night 😁
Sorry man, you're entitled to your opinion but nothing , absolutely NOTHING compared to the original ..Billyb Paul is an massively underrated Talent.. sorry bud. don't agree.. felt itwas pretty awful to be honest..
Mr.Blue- Eyed Soul( Mr.Daryl Hall) Gentleman on the Sax, was jammin!!Singers doing background, harmony, were on point. .Rest in Paradise, Brother Billy Paul, this classic song is.......Timeless!!!!
If that ever happened when I was up there, I would have a heart attack! I love Daryl, and that is such an amazing and small club! Of coarse I love Klyde also, and that band!!!
A fantasy trip to his House. Did the guests that night expect him to show up and sing this amazing rendition of Me and Mrs. Jones? I would probably faint if I were there to eat and hear the night's band.
rrrgrove- please contact me. I'm looking for any additional footage from this show. That's me singing with Daryl and Klyde. Thank you! Nicole Wright Music
Although Daryl did his best, nobody could touch Billy Paul's Version. In England, Philly Soul has gained cult status. Over the years Folks have done their versions of Philly Songs from Dusty Springfield (RIP), Simply Red, and it's been covered by UK Boy Bands Take That (Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel The Tavares), and on the UK Finale Of Pop Idol 2001 Gareth Gates (The Runner Up) sang along with Rachel Stevens of S Club 7 their Version of You Are Everything by The Stylistics. The Song was inspired by a Judge who was having a fling with a Young Lady and they'd meet for Lunch.
