@Dafyd Maddz 🥴That reminds me of "jam sessions" when I was growing up... Freaking EVERYONE played guitar, but NOBODY played bass or drums, so it would be 4-5-6 mediocre(at best) guitarists screwing around! Later, in the early 90s I discovered a passion and talent for drums that I never really had for guitar. I just wish I would've figured that out about 9 years earlier, then our jam sessions would've been more interesting(and less cringeworthy)! 😁

@@Ishbu101 lynch isn’t mentioned either. That’s because hair metal is still hurting from the stigma that has stung since grunge. It’s lessened now I’ve noticed but it’s still there. Kids in general don’t care about rock but as you said, slash Cobain Eddie Frusciante are names people know, not so much the 80s stuff. It’s far from ubiquitous. Some people would mention DeMartini. It’s the truth anyway and it doesn’t really matter what magazines and layman think. Musicians that study the guitar and take an interest in rock and roll know the truth and that should be enough. What the public gravitates towards, critics, is another matter. Guitarists love Johnny thunders. He’s another guy that average people don’t know. But guitarists and musicians do. I have pics but not sure if you can send pics to publishers on here or not. Still in same awesome road worn condition. Still has the chalk marks where you placed the mics and of course your stencils on the back. Would love to know more about it. I loved the 70's and 80's.......Best generation EVER. Warren and Jake should make an Og new age cacophony type band, Warrens melodic playing with Jakes crazy playing would be so cool

I love charvels because they're Sleek , rock and roll machines you can do anything with them.. And Warren is right about Eddie Van Halen...Eddie did start mentioning Charvel as far as I can remember in a 1980-ish GFTPM magazine... but I would have never picked up a Charvel or Jackson and appreciated them until all the West Coast guitar players started playing them and then became more available. ...Now Jackson Guitars USED to be in San Dimas in the early 80's.. I know because I have a1985 Randy Rhoads V, cobalt blue, hardtail, black hardware made in San Dimas USA. I paid handsomely for it... Unbelievable not worth much these days.....San Dimas USA made !! Home of Bill and Ted ??? ..hello?? Ha ha ha ha...Dang..hope I can play guitar when Im dead.

the way he talks is weird.. I am pretty sure he is drunk. he is hesitant, struggles to find elementary words, does not finishes his sentences... unfortunately Jake and Warren who are best buddies suffer from the same problem: alcohol addiction. That's a shame that alcohol and drugs destroyed some many great musicians

I love playing these types of guitars for kicks, but man that artwork is bloody awful. Looks like a bad biker gang tattoo on a guitar. Yeesh.

The wording is wrong though , "de" (from) should be "pour" (to or for) and "mourir" doesn't need an "e" .

So hair metal. An erroneous French translation of a rock and roll culture idiom.

The older I get, the more boring the playing gets. I've heard it all. And oh yeah... guitar talk's been boring for ages, too. ;-)

Search here for (Sucker For a Pretty Face) by Rockcandy. It's a great 80s rock album! Also the singer (Jose Anes) had a band B4 this called Sinful, with Nuno Bettencourt on guitar B4 Extreme! Search for (Sinful Demo Album 1984). Enjoy!!!!
