Apparently, most of the people commenting have NO clue about how endorsements work. You (the endorser) typically sign a contract, usually for some period of time (a number of years etc.). When the period of said contract is up, sometimes the company can or will extend or renegotiate the terms. Sometimes, the artist chooses to move on to another company, or the option to re-sign them isn't made available to them and they have to find another company to work with. I hope some lightbulbs have appeared over at least a couple of heads.
Never thought about that. So it can go either way, the endorser can choose not to renew the contract or the endorsee can choose not to. I still feel that Ibanez would not have chosen to let him go rather he may have chosen to move on to another company for reasons of his own. Still just speculation on my part.
..penetrating insight ''terry'' into the arcane machinations of contract design , how the hell else would they work dumbass .....as far as that fat fuck in the mask, he and that shit stain of a band should be endorsed by walmart , maybe you can draw it up for them.
Mick is one of those genuine respectful guitarist that will basically tell it how it is, he will be blunt and honest but that’s what I love about him because he plays in one of my favorite heavy metal bands of all time Slipknot but he is a amazing guitarist and he knows his shit when it comes to understanding guitar specs and understanding what he wants in a guitar and how it should sound and how it should feel and that is what I really dig about him and what I really like about him! 🎸🤘🎸🤘
Always looked up to this stern ...GENIUS! Played other musical instruments but could never quite grasp the guitar...I am so greatful for him. The Lord truly blessed us with Mic
ESP make very cool guitars. I'm a little more interested in Jackson as a Signature manufacturer as they haven't really done it that much in the past. Especially compared to ESP who have built so many signature guitars.
He said a bunch of words that I had no idea what they meant, and then he proceeded to tell everyone what he meant by saying that. He’s just a good dude
He is my favorite guitarist . Listen to those riffs in Solway Firth. It is a bit difficult to cancel out those vocals and drums, which are also fabulous...but when I tell you those guitar riffs are mesmerizing; blast in my car every day. To die for. He's always been great. Even when I was a tiny thing...playing percussion, oboe, english horn, clarinet. Could never really grasp guitar. I love him even more for that. He is FFFAABBB!77777
Been playing my Jackson JS-20 (switched the pickups out for EMG Active Humbucker and 2 x SA Single Coils) since the mid 90s. I love my guitar. IT's the same shape and color as Micks one in the video above, but it has the head stock with pegs facing up, not down. Did I mention I fucking love my Jackson?
pros: he knows what he likes and wants, and put a lot of thought with the builders to get a great shred guitar. con: it's strat-shaped. good on mick, honestly. i like how jackson's coming back up into "good guitar" territory, they went for a bit of a dive this last decade. never liked playing them (except for king v's), but they're dependable axes.
I've only ever played one Jackson and unfortunately it was second hand...but that didn't stop it from sounding heavier than anything I've used before. Even my Dean zero X would struggle to keep up with it
Patrick Petrie umm It actually entirely depends on what his contract says, but most endorsement contracts basically say that they cannot publicly endorse another brand - whatever that means is detailed in the contract. Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield are pretty invalid points; when you're in the world's biggest band, you can pretty much do what the fuck you want lol. And product endorsements are product endorsements, which, again, vary by contract. There's a reason why Mick doesn't mention Ibanez or BC Rich in this video - Fender definitely has the money and power to keep a tight contract on him, or maybe he is too nervous to discuss them because their deal is new, who knows? There's many different possible reasons.
you people are ignorant. it's more than likely his contract with Ibanez went out and he didn't get it renewed. he obviously didn't like what Ibanez had to offer anymore and wanting to go to somewhere that made his favorite guitar (custom king v that he recorded the first album with). Ibanez just couldn't do certain things that Jackson could so the move was pretty clear to me.
ilia tevzadze 2 Graphite rods, difference in neck shape, output jack near the strap button, more wood cause there's no floyd spring routing, flat frets above the 12th fret, and an actual Floyd Rose floating bridge. Other than all that, same guitar. XD
Obviously it's gonna be the same amount of strings. They play in Drop B most of the time, drop A sometimes. A song in drop D. And a song in D# Standard. Obviously he is not going to be using 7-strings anytime soon.
For anyone who's sitting here saying "It's basically his Ibanez, but Jackson.". Seriously? That floating trem system is super innovative. I hate using trems because of the tone you lose from the huge cavity they cut out for the damn bridge. I've owned all sorts of guitars, but this one makes me ecstatic, and I love Ibanez and Jacksons, though I have a bias for Ibanez myself. Other than the new floating trem and Soloist body, and compound radius neck, it is rather similar, it's a metal guitar, it has very specific functions and can only be achieved with certain designs.
great guitar. the only thing i don't like if i am not mistaking is the floyd rose is fixed to where you can not use the tremolo...if i am wrong then all the better.
Can someone tell what colour that is cause it doesn’t look candy apple red or a marron it looks like a flat red or is it marron and it’s just the marron cause I really dig that colour looking for ideas on a custom guitar
Its all honestly good, I prefer Jacksons over Ibanez imo, but thats just me, I have a Jackson Dinky satin black with Seymour Duncan Alnico II and Dean Markley Blue Steels.
I really wish he God back to BC rich one last time even for a short time so that they make a warlock that actually looks just like his custom shop ones. Instead of the bolt on rosewood fret board junk they put out last time.
