I am from Delhi,When I was in Karnataka, it was great experience...made lot of telugu&Kannada friends as well...they did tell me however that older generation telugu ppl dnt like others a lot. Did face mild racism in Trivendrum. I didnt face it personally...but Bihari ppl face ABSURD levels of racism in Haryana,Punjab&West UP(and in Delhi as well..mostly frm ppl who come from these regions)...I have seen my Bihari fnds facing it on a daily basis...particulalrly from that commuity famous for showing-off on Fortuners. I know some ppl who 'do racism' and say racist rants....from what I have noticed...thos racist rants give them a twisted sense of 'empowerment' while some o it to 'look cool'.... Haven't been to west India(Gujarat,rjasthan,Maharashtra)...but have heard fnds frm UP faced lot of discrimination in Pune.

After having lived in Germany for over 15 years, and having lived in France and Italy prior to that, I can say, Germany was less of a racist than others. As an Indo-Canadian, I have to say, my experience as a tourist in Munich was really very pleasant, and I got very courteous service from airport to stores an restaurants. Admitedly, I never lived and worked there, BUT, never had one racist incident during my stay. I also had the distinct pleasure of having met very charming German girls in Montreal, who actually struck up conversation with me.

But this existed everywhere in societies the world. What does English surname "Blacksmith or Smith" comes from? Or German "Schumacher " or arab "gaddafi" , or French "chevrolet" or "marchand" or "chastain" ?? True that some corruption in societal system may have come over time, please remember 4 important things I) most of it is actually and imposed narrative- to destroy a beautiful and large country Ii) islamic invasions and rule over India for centuries was major force in corruption of this system. Why? - because first thing they target is brahmins who are propagator of religion, but also holders of societal knowledge and responsible for progress. They kill, break temples etc. Then they targe other people for conversion, esp poor. Spreading falsehoods about them being oppressed to convert, and there is no one to stop it,else you are also killed. In a struggling to survive society, everyone clings to little but source of survival and power they can have. Iii) British broke it down indian system also. How? First increase the tax rate from 10% to 50+% overnight. Temples where village economy thrived worked on donations, and people could no longer donate as they were poor. Priests who educated people and maintained temples, could not survive there. British brought "begging provision act", but what they actually stopped was orgnazed system of monks asking for "alms" from people. This is still popular in Japan, China, Thailand and other Buddhist places. But indian bramins were worst hit. Then by British introductions of education, they were natural choice for teachers. And since there were less jobs, British blamed brahmis for oppression and indian caste system. Iv) if before that, India was among the wealthiest country, and brahmisnare supposed to live without possessions and ask for alms or love in university, and industrial revolution hadn't happened where most individuals produced their own products, who was actually rich here? It was the common masses or the work man, yes??? The same people which is now "narrative " says were oppressed.
