PMDD CHATS: pt 1
I’ve been dealing with severe “pms” / hormonal symptoms for a little over 6 years. It was only until recently I found out there was a term for everything I was feeling & going through.
Take a look at my video as I go over what PMDD is, my experience with the condition, and how it’s effected my day to day life.
This is the beginning of a new chapter for me, as I’ve finally met with a specialist and currently testing out different methods to help me navigate through life normally.
I hope this helps just 1 person feel less alone. 🫶🏽

Yes! For me, I didn’t know that I had it. In my teens up until I was about 26, my cycles were always irregular. I would go months without having a period. So when the symptoms did arise, I would just assume I’m having a bad week. At around 26, my cycle naturally came more regular. So the episodes became more noticeable and intense. Then on one of those days i was a complete mess, I googled “Does your period make you suicidal?”. And that’s when i was introduced to PMDD. The crying spells, hyperventilating, panic attacks, crippling fatigue, self isolation, hot flashes, brain fog, confusion, sometimes I have insomnia, extreme irritability, and extreme depressive episodes paired with active suicidal thoughts. It sucks!!! I work in a very toxic environment which really triggers me.
