I especially love this song considering the story behind it. The original song is nearly 100 years old and it follows the story of a black blues guitarist who buys his fame from the devil himself. He died young because the devil took his soul as payment. It makes this music so much more ominous lol
@@osmosis3559 Thanks! The writer of the original is Robert Johnson, he is widely regarded as the start of rock and roll, and the video where he tells the story (it’s about him) is still on youtube. I’d really recommend watching it :)
@@kiwi_trucks To clarify, the reason why Robert Johnson is sometimes called the "start of rock and roll" is because his records were re-released in 50s or 60s and were hugely influential on many of the people who turned rock and roll from the type of music we associate with Chuck Berry or Elvis to what what Rock became by the late 1960s. Additionally, the devil-begotten-virtuosity and demonic pact itself form a sort of modern myth that is not so dissimilar to the kind of legends you see in the larger-than-life rock stars of the mid-to-late 20th century, so some will point to Johnson's mythos as being a prototypical form of the "rock star". Rock and roll music itself came from various blues-based traditions and musical styles, including Chicago blues, jump blues, and gospel, all of which helped crystallize what we might call 1950s R&B. Add in some influence from country, folk, and jazz, and you get the kind of music played by folks like Fats Domino and Little Richard. However, music at all resembling even this early form of rock and roll didn't really develop until the late 1940s or so. Johnson, who died in 1938, played an acoustic Delta Blues-type of style, and his music didn't really resemble rock and roll any more than his other influential contemporaries. He was a blues player, through and through.
While we don’t know much, His family and friends shared parts of him including his actual death, which was Robert Johnson dying due to getting poisoned by a angry bartender who poisoned him because Robert flirted with or slept with the bartender’s wife
Sukuna and gojo fits this song than when they fight each other, there a scene they walk and talk to each other and somehow this song remind me of them like gojo walking side by side with the devil
Early this morning When you knocked upon my door Early this morning When you knocked upon my door And I said hello Satan, ah I believe it is time to go Me and the devil walkin' side by side Me and the devil walking side by side And I'm gonna see my man Until I get satisfied See, see, you don't see why And you would dog me 'round See, don't see why People dog me around It must be that old evil spirit So deep down in your ground You may bury my body Down by the highway side You may bury my body Down by the highway side So my old evil spirit Can Greyhound bus that ride So my old evil spirit Can Greyhound bus that ride
