I think it means quite literally be kind to yourself, love yourself and stop seeing all the things that are wrong about you and stop being so hard on yourself about everything. I love the chorus to this song, because it's just the kind of encouragement everyone needs in their everyday life and also one of the biggest lessons to learn in life. I mean you're the only person you'll ever have always, so you should love yourself instead of always thinking you're not good enough.

It really is a reminder to treat yourself better, love yourself, and be patient and understanding with what life throws at you.. and let go of what you can't control. I see no one else replied lol so I shall. I believe, the meaning of that is.. We are putting ourselves to the test everyday. We must give ourselves some credit and just enjoy where we are, but instead, we dream of the future, and we get so caught up in growing up that we forget to be a kid. Thats just my take from those few lyrics. Its subjective. So perspective is always great to share!

Be kind to yourself means Dont worry too much...the more you worry about things you have no control of, all your doing is burdening your heart.. it only consume your mind and energy which leads to stress...that's my interpretation.

I broke my phone but...... not really purpose, it's just because my friend didn't know I have a phone on my bag and we we're doing something called grouping and she sat on my chair then on the dismissal I tried to see my phone the screen was cracked, I'm not blaming her... Cause she doesn't know that my phone was there.......I don't know what am I going to tell my parents about this since my phone is my second phone, I don't want to disappoint my parents cause the old one ended up cracking too.... I always get reminded of a really good friend of mine, I passed him this video and referred him to the 'You gotta be kind to yourself' part. We are always harsh on ourselves, especially our mistakes and flaws. Be a friend and help your friends
We all have our own opinions, and I while I respect yours, I disagree. I think she's pretty great, a real homely voice and style. Still just my opinion though.

As in like, you are too young but you are trying to be matured and stuff..like you are taking on too much responsibilities for your age? lol.. i don't know. What is your take people. dig one's heels in Its an idiom about standing your ground in your beliefs! Dig your heels as in brace for impact and hold steady! The actual idiom def is: to refuse to alter one's course of action or opinions; to be obstinate or determined. So up until that line I kinda always thought she was having a pleasant chat with someone she use to be close but then begins to either tell herself or her old friend to stick up and stand up for what they gotta do (maybe like a once bitten twice and shy kinda deal)? Its up to the listener, though it is interesting that its like the only time where given information about the characters outside of me and you.
