I went to therapy as well after losing both parents. I lost my Mom when I was a Junior in high school. I was really messed up.😢

We all think our trauma was a funny story until we suddenly realize it was indeed a trauma. But then that can be a funny story. I should do something for mental health awareness month since it's very important that I'm very aware of my mental health at all times 😂

@LaShumbraBates I had to change therapist once. I was in a toxic relationship. She advised me to leave, and I told her I did. For an entire 6 months, she was working on me thinking I had parted ways with the guy. I had to stop going because I realized how dumb it was for me to be lying to her. I had alienated the one person who could help me by being dishonest to her she was wasting both our time. 👀🙄🤣🤣🤣. Just dumb. Me and my bestie laugh about that to this day.

The way i look at that lady when she recommends something that she KNOWS I’m not going to do……👀🫣🥴. I pay to NOT take the advice and then complain about the stuff on the next visit🤦🏾‍♀️. She loves me tho!!

Almost forgot, she would also say, "all my kids are just stupid," but didn't appreciate when I pointed out that she was the common denominator. It shouldn't be funny, but it tickles me to this day.

This reminds me of how my mom used to tell us, "What sweet you gon sour you".

Lol! No, we are writing about mood, affect, etc. We have to make note of lots of things about a client including important facts, experiences of the client, our treatment modality, etc during the session for our case notes. We would forget otherwise since we see clients back to back all day.

One of the reasons me as a middle aged black heterosexual woman chose a young Caucasian lesbian female👍🏾 It worked out, did what it was supposed to do. I didn’t want her relating to “my world” so that she could come with honesty. Loved it and benefited from it.
