Meadow Creek Fire Tower, Del Rio, Tennessee, June 8, 2024 10:07 a.m. This is the fifth tower constructed on this location. It is located in the small Meadow Creek Mountain range near Del Rio, Tennessee. The first tower was constructed in 1926 and was simply a platform supported by three trees. With the technology available now fire watchers in towers are no longer needed. This overlook in the Cherokee National Forest is open to the public.
