Love the video. I just bought a Pit Boss 1150. Need to put it to use. Getting old so my off-set smoker sits most of the time. Skin side up on chicken is the way to go. The inside cooks much faster/easier. Looks like I came in at subscriber 45! Keep up the great work.

As a fellow REFORMED fat dude. I can tell you, you've got the right idea, and I am really excited to meet you at under 100 subscribers and be in the first 100. My smoker puts in almost as much work as I did for my lifestyle changes. Don't stop posting, my man; let it be a tool for accountability. Redcon 1 MRE lite is my favorite!

I’m looking into getting a pellet smoker. How you like that Pit Boss? What model is it?

This thing is AWESOME! I'm not eating ribs right now but bro!! WOW! I use it twice a week most weeks for chicken and beef. My grill is the 1150 pro version but I think there's a newer model now and if you get one, try the B&B competition blend pellets!

Rice is the worst thing you can have for weigh loss, especially if your a diabetic. It may work for people who are trying to build muscle that don’t have metabolic or obesity issues. The rice will cause crazy insulin spikes and will slow down your weight-loss dramatically. Not to mention the inflammation it causes as well. You can substitute and have cauliflower rice or just have your meals with extra veggies. Just wanted to help you out, brother. Wish you luck on your journey. It takes courage to lose weight.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for sharing your concerns-it's clear that you have a strong understanding of how diet can impact weight loss, especially for those with specific health conditions like diabetes. I want to clarify a few points to make sure we're on the same page. First, my video was primarily targeted at individuals looking to build muscle and transform their bodies, not specifically at those with diabetes or other metabolic conditions. You’re absolutely right that for diabetics or those with insulin resistance, managing carbohydrate intake is crucial. However, for those without such conditions, rice can actually be a great food source when used correctly in a balanced diet. Rice, particularly white rice, does have a high glycemic index (GI), which means it can cause a rapid increase in blood sugar levels. But this isn't necessarily a problem for everyone. For individuals without metabolic issues, a spike in insulin following a meal that includes rice is a normal and healthy part of digestion. Insulin helps transport nutrients, including glucose and amino acids, into cells, where they can be used for energy or muscle repair. This is particularly beneficial for bodybuilders or those looking to gain muscle, as it supports the anabolic processes that lead to muscle growth. When it comes to weight loss, it’s important to consider the overall diet and lifestyle. Rice is a carbohydrate source, and carbohydrates are a critical energy source, especially for those engaging in regular physical activity. The key is portion control and timing. For someone on a calorie-controlled diet, rice can still be part of a weight-loss plan if consumed in moderation and balanced with other macronutrients like proteins and fats. In fact, carbohydrates, including rice, can help maintain energy levels during workouts, which is essential for preserving lean muscle mass while losing fat. Regarding inflammation, it's true that some individuals may experience inflammation from certain foods, but this is highly individualistic. For most people, rice is a low-inflammatory food, particularly when it is part of a diet that includes plenty of vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins. Also, different types of rice, like brown rice or wild rice, have varying nutritional profiles, including higher fiber content, which can contribute to a healthier gut and less inflammation. Cauliflower rice is indeed a great low-carb alternative, especially for those who need to manage their blood sugar levels or reduce calorie intake. However, for individuals without these specific needs, traditional rice can still be part of a healthy diet, particularly when the goal includes building muscle or maintaining energy for intense workouts. I appreciate your advice and agree that cauliflower rice and extra veggies are excellent choices, especially for those managing diabetes or other metabolic conditions. However, for those who don't have these concerns, rice can be a very effective food source when used correctly, contributing to muscle gain and body transformation. The key is always in the balance and the overall context of the diet. Thanks again for your encouragement-I wish you the best on your health and fitness journey as well!
