Thank you ever so much again, James. Beautiful day - these fantastic greens. Very nice for me to watch, I have been to Ben Lawers twice and passed Loch Tay and Glen Lyon several times. In my memory I had such conditions only once. Kind regards from Germany, Martin.
Just done this today nice walk never got any views from top too cloudy. But good views halfway down. Was choking to do the ridge too but too cloudy maybe another day. Bagged my 16th
Ah, another outing for the Jammie Bagger😂. I suspect there is meticulous planning behind your good weather fortunes but that doesn't make for such good banter. Forgive me. That is a great ridge but serious in winter in places.
Haha I cant argue with that, I suspect as I get closer to finishing that my options will become limited.. I will no doubt have to face the rain 😂 Cheers, James
The standard route is the easiest Munro I’ve done, left the car park and 7am and was on the summit before 8:30am, got a great day for it, could see Ben Nevis
Hi James, brilliant again, you certainly have been blessed with the weather again, but it’s not luck if you do your research before hand. We always prepare for bad weather but you never go out with the intention of looking for it. Bagging hills is hard we always want to see nice views as reward for your our efforts. Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us as always. Always enjoy watching. All the best Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
Thanks Dave, I always do a fair bit of prep, I always pick the best day of the week to go out 😁 I want to see the views, otherwise I wont go 😂 I have been very fortunate with my days off this year.. thanks for watching, Cheers, James
What a grand short outing this is. Quite agree with you that it is an ideal beginner's route. It was one of my earliest and I have never forgotten it - there was no path then, although I saw more people that day than you appear to have done today.
Right James. Having watched many a RU-vidr baggin Munros, I've decided I want to come with you on the fabulously sunny climbs thay you always seem to get. 😊 Although with my luck I suspect I would jinx that. Loving your channel. It's inspiring many future adventures for me.
Thank you, I have been mega lucky this year with the weather 😂 if you want my holiday dates for next year then they may come in handy 👀 😂 Cheers, James
Hello James, great video as usual.. Can I ask a question ? It seems like nowadays you prefer not to add the gpx on to the details.. Is this the new way of doing things because I was saving in order to literally follow in your footsteps and obviously is a very valuable informative invaluable and useable addition to your recoded journey.......
Hi Merky, Apologies things have been a bit hectic recently! I have added the description to the video 😁 I will try to keep adding them in the future, Cheers, James
Fantastic video again 👍🏻 Must be a different Scotland that you are walking in James from everyone else. It’s always dreich when I hill walk. Heading to Loch Awe and Mull in September so please give me your good luck 🙏🏻
@@ScottishMunroJourney us hill walkers usually rely on the luck of the gods for weather but I’ll rely on the luck of James. Looking forward to the next class video
Brilliant James. I done this about a month. When I look back I wish I did it the way you went. Where I did the 3 mile walk back to the car. Looking forward to your next adventure and hope your enjoying your holiday. Well deserved. ATB Alan
Nice one, James - and you may just have given us a hint of what you intend to do once the remaining six dozen are done! If only I was half my weight, I'd give it a try!
James many years ago in winter my brother fell descending the steep section before the narrow summit ridge you went up had to get helicopter out he will do anything to get out of buying a round at the bar so you were right that section is an accident hot spot according to mountain rescue thanks for sharing
Fantastic James.. you certainly are lucky lol I've been drowned when i spent 2 weeks in Scotland recently and still being poured on in Ireland since not to mention no paths over here and up to my eyes in ferns, holes and wet grass :). The inversions you get in Scotland :) we get them too but our peaks are too low to get above them haha so we're always clagged in. Please God tomorrow let me see some sun but at least your video tonight has shone some sunlight into Irish eyes :) thanks again James... M
Thanks Merky, I am sending you good luck for your next adventures ☀️ 😂 you certainly seem to head out in all conditions! Thanks for watching, Cheers, James
