5:33 tbf, it honestly would make sense to have 2024 Cady wearing outdated jeans at this point bc she hasn't yet been around the plastics long enough to have picked up on fashion trends. i enjoyed the 2024 version, but I did go into knowing it wouldn't live up to the original-- i went in with low expectations and so i had a pretty good time. That being said, I feel like the costuming in the original version blows the 2024 version out of the water because of all the thought and meaning that went into each outfit, there was a lot of visual storytelling through their outfits that the new version just seemed to lack.

I still absolutely love Regina’s outfit when we first see her in the cafeteria in the 2004 film. I’d love to find a similar outfit, it looks so good

Aw man, missed opportunity with comparing the plastics Halloween costumers '04 vs '24 but still, i think '04 takes the cake on that one too. I honestly didn't care for any of anything in the new version. It was....a waste of precious time imo.

I have to agree. I love the og outfits mostly. But love the updated halloween costumes!

2004 all the way. The musical is so bad. The acting and singing was terrible. In terms of fashion the original movie outfits are better.

Me, my cousins, and sister (who didn’t even like the og), really liked it. I’m shocked to hear so many people hating on it. It doesn’t deserve that, it’s genuinely a good remake. I don’t have much complaints about the movie

Personally I hate the pu leather outfit of the new Regina. And the plastics are supposed to be a clique. Therefore the styles should be pretty similar with some slight difference. In the remake it seems they’re all pretty different but at the same time, not unique. I don’t buy that any of the girls would be the high school IT girls. Only exception would probably be Karen.

The old outfits had *jazz hands* charm. The new ones are just - outside of Regina’s biker chick outfit, I need glasses, ‘cause I ain’t seein’ the vision here. Sorry - *cringe* - they just look…not great.
