I became Hindu from my own experience at an early age growing up on a large commune in the 1970s from the Hippy movement. The meaning of Gayathiri in Sanskrit is Gaya (body) and three ( means 3 that denotes uyir ( life) Shakti (power) atma ( soul) . Om means the sound in life energy that creates this light (soul) of life energy eternal law means parambrahman shiva is the Almighty Life Energy.Parambrahman Shiva's Energy created soul (light) light named Paramatma Ishwar and lingam Rupa (Lingam represents of parambrahman Shiva's light) parambrahman shiva's light of life energy created the universe and beings and demigods on Earth ( Boomi Maatha) Maatha means Earth represented by yooni .yooni beneath the Parambrahman Shiva is Universal God (paramapita). Is the mechanism to open up the energy coiled at the base of the spine by proper understanding and proper chanting with proper breathing techniques this energy will uncoil and raising from the base of. Who's called as "Shakti" means "Power source" or " Aadi Shakti". means " first n foremost power source ", the most ancient of all . who created the " trimurti gods",,to run the existence , that's why Om represents the Aadi Shakti n that is why he used "she".

It has nothing to do with Gender. Gender is physical form. N feminine n masculine is emotional or spiritual or not physical. Since Om is nurturing its considered as feminine .to make us understand we see as female since female is considered (by humans) as nurturing n source of caring n love n growth. It meant symbolically. Gayatri mantra is not the mantra for meditation/ Dhayan. If you genuinely want to go deep in understanding Gayatri just Understand ‘OHM” first.
