Hello sir, i had a question in regards to this. Sometimes when I am doing questions like this in exams, it asks me to see which answer is closest to the meaning of a word, but sometimes I don't even know what the word means or sometimes I don't know the meaning of some of the words in the multiple choice answers, is there any way to find a right answer regardless of this? Plus we are not allowed to use dictionaries.

There is a skill called context clue. The whole purpose of the question is for you to identify what the text is stating, and look at words that can give you clues to help you understand or have a better understanding of that particular word.
