Clear and easy explanation of finding the range, variance, and standard deviation of a grouped data. These are what you call measures of dispersion or variation which would tell you how scattered your data is from the mean.

What if the given data is 1-5 6-10 11-15 16-20 21-25 Why is it the range still 25? Though I did the same process as yours.

when the data is coming from population, then use N. when data is coming from sample, then use N-1.

for the variance, why are you using the formula for ungrouped data?

Those formulas are all for grouped data. Im just using formula for sample since it's the most common and practical.

why in my course the denominator of s2 is just n and in online explanationa is n-1

to find the population sd or variance, the denominator is n, to find the sd and variance from sample data, the denominator is n-1

Wrong yung range, it should be 21.5 - 12.5 which is 9
