Very helpful. Love the wide array of expertise you got going on the channel. I'm having a hard time finding any data on Bb Clarinet mouthpiece facing tables, seems not many people care to go that deep. Im dozens of pages deep in the googles with little more than tip opening measurements and countless pages of forum posting knownothings. I've got an old Grenadilla mouthpiece with some pretty unplayable wear from a H Bettony clarinet I'm restoring, and I'd hate to put it to sand paper without knowing at least a little about the curve characteristics. Many of the old Grenadilla mouthpieces were refaced so many times they stopped using them. If the tip rail is too thick then it probably was refaced too much. You have to take it's current measurement and put it on a speadsheet. Then compare it's curve to what result you want -- for instance a medium open, medium curve. Then you work from there. Wood mpcs have to be polished and sealed otherwise they expand and warp fairly quickly. Let me move a spreadsheet to Google Docs for you to see.

I bought mine over 20 years ago. The flat metal gauges can also be sourced with car (google) "12 Blade Feeler Gauge Set" They're the same thing. just make sure you get the sizes you want. MusicMedic.com also have various feeler gauges and a couple glass gauges.
