Thanks. This video clarified a lot of JVD/JVP and Internal/External and 30/45 degree distinctions that always confuse me and that preceptors just hand waved at.

it feels impossible to identify this in real life unless you have perfect conditions

I will add though, I’m never sure what point to measure to. Sometimes I see the “bulk” of the pulsation in one area. But then it makes the whole neck skin have like residual movement way higher up.
