Meat Loaf was a great human being, he had a unique synergy with the public and with us his fans, he is unique, one in a million, it was incredible how talented he was... Rest in peace dear Meat
If the idiots commenting knew anything about meat loaf he NEVER EVER said he was a good singer NEVER he was a performer and if you watch he performs amazing!!! Funny if he was that bad is a huge crowd at every show he ever had !! God bless RIP
43 million+ sales for Bat Out of Hell? Amazing singer. Wasn't as good as he got older, but sure as hell put on a GREAT concert, every time. I was at all 12 times he played, 1990 - 2013
OK, I've seen a couple on concerts, I had a table by the stage in Vegas, and I have all the albums. This footage is fantastic! The man is an incredible performer. I suppose if your musical taste is based solely on studio albums and top 40 radio, you might be a little disappointed in live performance. Any live performance. Probably because the song you've memorized in your head doesn't match what you're experiencing. Well, this is the real deal. A legendary performer rocking in his element. Do not confuse a concert with an MP3. Meat Loaf is truly one of a kind, and I am fortunate indeed to have had the opportunity to see him live.
This is a very very very good concert. I have been a fan since 1984 and attendend the larger than life concert tour in 1988 lost boys and golden girls worldtour when he was at the top of his incredible voice. Because of touring his voice broke apart since the 1993 1995 everything louder tour. Things went really bad after 2001. But this footage is awesome. Meat has always my respect . I am a true fan. Despite the general opinion about the hang cool album i think it is best effort after bat 2. Because of his huge voice in the late eigthies and the early nineties AND this performance he is just simply the best. Thanks to Meat and jim. Love ya both.
I hope locked away somewhere is some more pro audio from this tour, or some video that was never announced...Just a shame that the Hang Cool Tour never got the DVD treatment it deserved. Meat's best vocals since CHSIB and better than anything live since. (pending anything new he does which could blow our socks off after such a long rest)
Cooles 🎉😂 ❤😢😮😅 contest. Ich liebe 🤟 meat loaaf.❤ lach und ling Agora. 😅😮😊😊😮 Hallo Frau kalfayan Ich bin gerade ganz gut drauf gekommen .Bis dahin Birgit Stehr
While yes I admit that on his Three Bat's Live DVD Meat does not sound fantastic, in all honesty I could not give a damn what he sounds like. I have only listened to him when, unfortunately, he was doing his Last At Bat Tour but from the clips of shows I have seen from the past I have never cared what he sounds like. He puts so much emotion into what he does, what ever he sounds like (good or bad) should not matter in the slightest. So anyone who thinks that this or his later shows are shite then think what you want. But I think that he is good no matter what he sounds like.
If it wasn't for Patti Russo, I would've turned this off within' 2 minutes of viewing. He sang EVERY song off key & Patti Russo.......................she's a gem. He's lucky to have found her as a side kick.
I love Music from the 70's and 80's but its so sad when the Artist don't Know when to Stop < Grace Slick Said it the Best "I'm not a Fan of Old People on Stage "
Having seen him 5 times in person, this is the absolutely worst Ive ever seen. The group is adding parts, and playing at the wrong tempo. And meat has lost the voice. Took the words is by far the worst Ive ever heard. The music is too fast, it has added melody, and he is singing slower that the music. I heard him in concert back in 99 and he had the flu, and this is painful to watch and listen to. I'm speechless.
Mortimer T. Graves Actually this performance wasn't all that bad. However check out his AFL Grand Final gig. He really ought to listen to his own voice - he might then consider calling it a day.
A fair performance overall - powers starting to wane, but still not yet ripping off audience (as would happen a few years later ..). My main regret is that he never had the nerve to drop the 'obvious' song selections - then there wouldn't be so many unfavourable comparisons to how the original records sounded ....
