I love this so much! I’m glad Todd let you share it, and what a story! Meat looks and sounds so fine here, and just look at those eyes as he performs the song…Love the fact that he felt it was important enough to rehearse with Mark, and even though he missed the high note at the end of the rehearsal, he went for it during the performance and nailed it. Oh, to have been in that private, intimate space where it was just his voice, Mark on keyboards and a select number of guests to witness this…

When I got engaged some of our mutual friends took us out to celebrate. I am a big guy who has two left feet, so I don’t dance. But when the bar DJ played Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad my fiancé knew that was a song I could be dragged out to the dance floor with. It became “Our Song”. At our wedding my wife’s cousin was the DJ for us on the condition that Two Out of Three was to be our first dance song. All was well with the families and friends watching us until Meat sang, “I want you, I need you, but I ain’t ever gonna love you.” That’s when I should have gotten those bets in writing, because I’d be rich now off the family saying that we wouldn’t last 6 months. It’s been 34 years and counting!

My heart melts when he sings, such a self giving person he was so talented and I still love to see and hear him sing,a very special human being, ill never stop rocking, r.i.p.meat

I do like how he puts his fans before himself. I think there were several times he pushed in several free shows because money wasn't a big concern to him, he just wanted to play music for the fans. As he said he always wanted to keep rocking.
