Hiii!! First of all, thank you so much for watching the Peru series 😊😊 wanted to answer some questions and comments. First of all I’m sorry if you have guinea pigs as pets, I think they are adorable as well but it’s something I was told I must try in Peru. When I made my comment about people thinking I was Jackie chan, I was not even joking lol 😂 all I heard walking around was...Jackie chan...Jackie chan...and yes I as you can tell I am horrible with languages...so if I ever show up at your country and call you a sir when you are not one...I want to apologize in advance. Strictly Dumpling 12:16 that slimey is called "linaza" which is basically flaxseeds in water that give you a gellatinous slimey product. It is said to be very good for gastritis among other things

That experience of sharing food from different cultures is a great way to engage with people. I could see the pride they had in witnessing your enthusiasm for their food. The beginning was what I imagine Mikes heaven looks like when he dreams. It’s important for people to remember that in many places in the world their meat doesn’t come packaged in neat sanitised packages from a supermarket

did you get any Llama? The pork looked very Asian and reminded me of Hawaiian roast pork. The banana leaf wrapped rice is like dungzi, my mother use to make it with pork, chestnut and salted egg. Think i need to go visit Peru.

llama is not common, i've had alpaca in a cusco restaurant. depending on the place it can be good. llama i think is only available in low quality dried beef jerky. but you can try and get a nice alpaca beef in cusco or maybe in the sacred valley if you go looking for a good place to have it.

Mike maybe I'm just your only subscriber from Peru and I would love to meet you. There are so many places to go to eat in Lima. I live in San Isidro, Lima very close to Miraflores. You have to know that Queso Helado it's not actually Cheese, there's no cheese in there but it's really good. Chicha morada it is fruity because it's boiled with apples and pineapple skins. I would explain you each dish from there. Anyway I'm glad you were here, see you next time.

Awesome, too funny at times. The slimy taste might be fresh aloe vera juice. Think that you ate the cajeta caramel, goat's milk dessert. It's just caramel. The giant corn is hominy. Lol. The little yellow chilies are called "aji". Most expensive coveted chili in the world because of its citrus-flavor. Everything looks amazing! You always make the cutest faces whenever you eat something that you really love. Awesome!

Mike Chen should go back to Lima, Peru. There is an interesting history of Chinese migration to Peru. My grandfather migrated to Peru in the early 20th century. Peru has the largest concentration of Chinese descendants in all of SouthAmerica. The Chinese cuisine is very popular in Peru ;and in the past few decades it has incorporated part of the Peruvian cuisine. There is a name people call the Chinese Restaurants iin Peru : CHIFA

Mike you are the man!! I moved out to USA 2 years ago. I am from Lima Peru. I am so happy that you enjoy the food of my country. It makes me feel so proud. As good Peruvian I had gone to Mistura from the very beginning and it is a nice experience.
