Not sure if the manual is incorrect, but I don’t think Ben is much of a sliced meat expert, at least in the slicing claim. He apparently has never been to a deli and watched them slice meat. There’s a reason the power button, the thickness dial, and the plastic face guard are on the other side from where he’s at…he’s using it backwards. Meat looks good, but he’s more likely to slice something else or pull the slicer on top of him when trying to shut it off using it that way. Turn it around Ben. Check the manual.
I understand that you need to have some sponsorships to pay for the ever expanding meateater machine but it would be awesome to see comparisons between different products. The beauty of meateater has always been the eloquent, no BS way that the crew conveys information that is helpful to hunters of all skill levels. These recent product videos are pretty much just commercials for Weston with very little of the information, tips, and tricks that we've come to expect from meateater. I love 99.9% of what you all do and will continue to support you regardless.
I understand things need to be done a certain way for viewing angles, but turn that bad boy around 180 degrees so you can have the meat drop into your left hand and pull it away from the blade as it is sliced.... Things stay cleaner that way and the meat isn't over-handled. That "self-proclamation" must have garnered a few chuckles from the office. Keep up the good work Ben O. #nyeahnyeahnyea
I tried to use my meat slicer to cut for jerky and even after freezing the meat for about an hour it didn't work. Ended up cutting with a sharp filet knife then soaked in marinade for a few days. Best deer jerky I've tasted in a very long time
Your using it the wrong way round..! The on/off controls should be nearest your body, hence the plastic guard nearest you..... And your left hand can collect as your slicing.
I didn’t give a thumbs down, but from someone who has sliced thousands of pounds of deli meats, you had it set up backwards! Most people will not think about it and they will be negating the built in safety features of the slicer. Please re-record this using the equipment properly.
hahaha its because recording equipment is too big to put behind counter and to see it from the operator POV. everyone knows the knobs are to be in front of user.....
“This is a Meat slicer, it’s sharp and it’s Dangerous so let me show you how to use it Backwards” You should show people how to use it properly so they don’t slice off their wrists! Why would you Do that? People that have never used a slicer that could potentially severe something important, should be shown the Right way to use it! Sorry man but that’s just an irresponsible video. Please correct it.
