Steve is INCORRECT! On question 8, regarding the mortar, Dave answered "Commai". There is no such thing as a "commai". Dave is incorrectly thinking about the word "comal", which is also incorrect. A comal is typically a flat griddle like skillet which is used in cooking tortillas. Steve then built on Dave's incorrect answer and said it was used to make guacamole, which is also incorrect. The word they both were actually looking for is a "molcajete", which would have also been incorrect because it doesnt have 6 letters. A molcajete is used for a variety of things but primarily to grind spices and make guacamole. Dave was wrong but Steve was also wrong and that is more important. Great episode.
Dave Smith here. You are absolutely correct. The problem for me, was that it needed to be a 6 letter word. So I winged it and even made up the spelling to reach 6 letters lol. It was an act of desperation ha ha. My wife is Mexican; we have a Comal and a Molcajete that we use almost daily. My wife scolded me, too lol
@@ChasinStudsyeah, Jeopardy should stop displaying the $ amount that each contestant has earned and everyone should just "pay attention lol". That would be a huge improvement...good point?
Let me interrupt at 9:35 ! lol Ok I get what Spencer is saying. But... Thats not how you say it. That area is not called a bigfooty area. It is squatchy! lol But Ill let it slide as I still understood what he meant and is correct on it. 😆🤣🙂 👍
