...Mechagodzilla!😮 *NOTES/CLARIFICATIONS:* • @0:15 Someone has pointed out that Mechagodzilla can also be inferred to be 200 meters tall in _RPO._ Wade states that Mechagodzilla is twice the height of Leopardon (p. 332), who is _"almost a hundred meters"_ (p. 328). However, he also describes Ultraman (who is stated to be 156 feet tall, p. 245) as _"matching [Mechagodzilla's] height and size almost exactly."_ (p. 340) *
@@theslayerofsimps8100 I think they will use it again in a possible Ready Player One sequel movie but I don't think they'll use this design in Godzilla vs Kong... cuz they already have the new design for Mechagodzilla...But I do admit the one in Ready Player One is a great design and hopefully they modified its design further if a Ready Player One sequel is greenlit.
If the first modern, CG Mecha-G succeeded on screen so spectacularly, and not even in a Goji film, then we can only have high hopes for the Monsterverse. I love Ready Player One, and this one a major part of it. Great job on this one Wikizilla, we're always excited for more and even more so for Godzilla V Kong. Best wishes
This is my favorite version of mechagodzilla that isn’t from Toho, this is a badass redesign that strikes the perfect balance of an original design while staying true to the original, while also taking influence from the showa mechagodzilla and Godzilla 2014. I’m personally not very excited about mechagodzilla showing up in GvK, but I’m still giving it a chance since I love mechagodzilla.
The book has a sequel coming out this year, no idea yet about the movie, as Spielberg said this was one of the hardest films he's ever made. Can't even imagine what a sequel would be about?
Man! I wished he gotten Minerva X. Every Mazinger Fan in Hispanic America, Italy, Spain and Saudi Arabia would had gone nuts to had see at least a reference to it.
Always love Millennium MechaGodzilla he’s super awesome and I can’t wait to see his new design soon in the future hopefully the new design for him will look amazing.
Loved your analysis of the mech and love the shout out you gave Gunship. I saw Artemis & Parzival before I ever read the book and that’s what got me interested in checking out Ready Player One. Can’t wait for the sequel book to come out so I can see what new turmoil the Oasis faces!
Did anybody come here after watching Godzilla vs Kong trailer. I’m guessing if mechgodzilla comes in this upcoming movie they will use the same design but make more efforts to it.
Nice work, folks! Personally I love the RP1 movie and what they did with the scene. Any bigger and with more robots and Ultraman and it would have taken away from the sheer awesomeness of this Mechagodzilla design. How there isn't a figure of it, is beyond me! Also, as a big Iron Giant fan loved seeing the match-up and team-up with the RX-78. Besides this, the Kong appearance is pretty fantastic as well!
This was an awesome addition to the film, it was one of the main reasons why I went to see it ! Also I wonder if there are any plans for a complete showa Godzilla timeline, waiting for that
I remember seeing MechaGodzilla in the theater, and almost screamed with sheer happiness Then I heard the musical reference to the original Godzilla theme, and I think I actually screamed that time
When I heard your next profile would be A Mechagodzilla, I figured it would be the Heisei version. I thought "well the only other one left would be the one from Ready Player One, which I guess would be what I would expect from an April Fools day release, but it will probably be the canon character." Shows what I know I guess.
When I first saw the film in theaters (I never read the book) and saw Mechagodzilla, I lost my shit. Despite the movie largely being forgotten by the general populous, and the film not doing too well at the box office, I loved this movie. Both the references and the plot fascinated me. I hope this movie becomes a mega mind in the future, that people see it as underrated and give a second chance.
It’s great that they actually did a different design rather than using a CGI model of original designs, when you can still recognize something the redesign then the creators behind it have some great talent. Like with every Spider-Man costume. Looking at Insomniacs Spider-Man has a great collection of suits, and they all feel like Spider-Man. This design feels like Mechagodzilla. Monsterverse Mecha is very different but very recognizable, even when curled up before his reveal!
@@nolanhoffman4305 Oh! you mean Super Mechagodzilla. Sorry, My Godzilla PS4 game identifies Mechagozilla 2 as the rebuilt Showa Mechagodzilla. So I got a little confused.
Ultraman would've been so much better tbh, I feel like Iron Giant and Gundam were way too weak to fight him. Spielberg failed to have an opportunity to give fans the ultimate fight of the century, he gave us a puny Iron Giant instead of the Ultraman we know and love
If you look carefully at the Beginning of ready player one, the backpack he's wearing while he's getting down from the stacks has a Warner Bros logo on it
I create Mecha Godzilla a few minutes ago. He’s like the showa MechaGodzilla with the ready player one design, except the mouth missiles are used when the Flamethrower is still charging, he has grenade and sticky bomb launchers in his hands, blade launchers in the shoulders, and can actually use desto fire
You’re telling me that we could have had Leopardon, Ultraman, Minerva X, the Evangelions, and several other classic mechas in the film but due to some legal and budget issues we didn’t get the mega mecha battle that we deserved?

Hi Wikizilla, I just bought the anime Godzilla dvds and in the first dvd (5:06), there is a weird long skull of a monster. Idk if it’s titanosaurus, but it’s in the scene where the main character starts the introduction, but the skeleton first appear in “Operation Hedorah Successful” scene. It resembles like a kronosaurus or liopleurodon. Maybe it’s a good topic to talk about?
Alright I know that this channel doesn't really do fan made kaijus, but after watching this episode I feel like it might be possible. Do you think that you will ever do RED, Solomon and Acacius from the Godzilla NES creepypasta? Just wondering.
