My brother started an Auto company, that converts Gasoline Cars to EV's, he also started his Mechatronics Engineering journey (Freshman), and men, its one hell of a journey.
If yur country is developing, always takes the engineering discipline that teach you how things are made qnd how to make things. Core engineering never goes wrong, you will always be needed even if you're not "exeptionally" paid.
Very educative 🚀 Watching from 🇳🇬 As an student of Mechatronics Engineering over here, we study all the core common and Mechatronics courses mentioned here with an additional 70% of the core Mechanical courses... Mechatronics is fun, but requires patience and attention to details...
Great video! The number of top tier universitires you can attend for undergrad will be limited if you decide to major in Mechatronics. Northeastern is the only one I would consider tbh😂
Guys I’m junior graduating early from high school. I’m going into mechatronics engineering next year, My only advice when ur choosing a college for this major is to make sure It’s “ABET” accredited
@@jayth3gr863 if possible I may do a masters, because mechatronics engineering is very versatile degree! Edit: I Also want to travel overseas (I think they call it business trips) but idk if the degree gives the ability to travel overseas to visit suppliers and what not
@@notkarengt3109 same imma try to get my masters in Mechatronics, u can literally go into any field. I’m not sure if you can travel overseas or not, but I don’t see why not. U could prob go into marine engineering or ocean engineering with this degree
I’ve completed my mechatronics from quantum university and the reason behind choosing is the main class room teaching and other professors expertise I’ve had a good experience which will help me to go ahead further for more opportunity
I've worked in many places with mechanical engineers. Most of them are miserable and hate their job. Nowadays, they're glorified drafters. Management treats them like crap. Honestly, the cleaning staff is treated better. They are constantly dumped on. If you are an engineer and have any sort of social skills, your best bet is to get into technical sales. Big contracts = big money. You will get much more financial reward and professional growth/ recognition. Let the pions draw the nuts and bolts.
I'm going to be graduating with a mechanical engineering degree soon but have found that I am interested in mechatronic aspects, do the skills transfer well?
Its almost a meme how often mechanical engineers "steal" other engineers jobs. Shouldn't be much of a problem given how similar those two are. In many schools mechatronics is even placed under the umbrella of Mechanical engineering as a specialization module.
If you wanna learn about both computers and robots, your best bet is to go for electrical/computer engineering, not computer science. In EE/CE, you'll learn about programming, electrical and electronic components, signal analysis and processing, control systems, and a bit about computer hardware and power systems. You'll know just about everything you'll need to make a computer and a controller for robots. It'd be very easy for you to learn a bit about robotic kinematics and mechanism design on the side so as to build robots. On the other hand, computer science is much heavier on software and computer science theory, so if you go for that, you'll end up being very strong on programming and algorithm design/analysis, but not so much on interactions between electromechanical components. It is possible to get a master's degree in mechatronics or robotics after earning a bachelor's degree in computer science, but you'll have a lot to learn while doing your master's degree.
I studied all the Mechanical Courses mentioned in this video as a Mechatronics Engineer. I also ended up doing a master's degree in Electrical Engineer( Power Systems). I never knew I would choose this career path.
this comment will get lost and its okay, i just wanna put it out there: i hate mechatronics and engineering in general but im forced to do it because of my parents and family reasons. there is no escape. i have been mentally abused by peers and my surroundings. been failing a ton of my modules and my graduation is constantly being pushed back. i just want to be free away from this field that i have zero passion in.
So sorry you have to go for this only because you family wants, you have to tell u parents how unhappy you are. Life is too short. Do what you like to do. Please fight for your rights to make your own decisions. Be happy 😊 I'll be praying for you 🙏
