Yes of course, those who have seen the belly of the beast and the hell in it’s eyes are the most humble and genuine souls you will ever meet, when you meet a showboat or a boastful veteran they aren’t telling the truth about what they did.
Thank you for your service. My dad was drafted in sixty six. He was a medic in the twenty fifth inf division. He passed away from non Hodgkin lymphoma related to agent orange exposure. He’s always been and still is my hero.
This is why we should treat our veterans like kings. They should be at the head of the line and not the end as they are now. Thanks to all that served and especially those that gave all.
If you were in the shit you saw all kinds of heroic acts nobody knows about. I was a door gunner in 70 in the La Drang Valley of Death for 9 months. Wounded twice dropping guys in hot spots and picking them up but never missed many missions. I stayed pissed at the enemy the whole tour. I did everything I could to starve, depress, piss off, and kill all charlie. Chief helped me get twin M60s mounted in my door. Brass didn't like these things, the extra 175 lbs. of ammo meant we flew heavy. But every time I opened up those babies and they pushed the bird a little sideways everybody appreciated the double fire power. Also meant they always wanted us to go in first. On my last operation a platoon of grunts was mixing it up with c and we loaded support and went in about 10 f high and I opened up across the pop smoke line and all the world opened up on us all. Shot off my boot heal and snatched a patch off my shoulder. Pilot hit, Chief killed, my friend, navigator killed. Hard last mission. My time is short now. I will go and see my friends from 70. Wonder what God has done with them. Peace.
Thank you for sharing your story. As a Marine Corps Veteran I would like to thank you for your service and dedication too serving our country. Fascinating story. I am glad that you are honored with the Medal of Honor. Semper Fi brother.

Every last one of us who served in combat made that deal with god .anybody who says they didn't pray to god is lying ,but you know that brother .USMC 1965-1969 1\9 5812 Scout Tracker .
Back in 1969, I enlisted into the Army, and went to Vietnam as a common 11B Infantryman, and I volunteered to walk point in my platoon in January 1970. I was with A Co., 3rd/22nd/25th. We were sweeping along the base of Nui Ba Den, and were ambushed. I was shot going to assist a downed chopper. I was awarded a Bronze Star for Valor, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and a Combat Infantry Medallion, and a Purple Heart after I was shot at Nui Ba Den on Operation Cliff Dweller IV. I am liberal democrat, and would do it again, even if I had bone spurs on my heel. I was an agnostic at the time and I still am.
Sir thank you for your service. I would have loved to be there. No I’m not crazy but if I could have saved a soldier I would take his place. I have no problem with that. I love my troopers.
I'm sorry I couldn't hear nothing this great guy was saying over the sound of his two titanium balls clanking together what a great man he reminds me of my dad who was in Vietnam my dad's helicopter was shot down with an RPG he jumped out of the helicopter 20 ft off of the ground and played dead until the enemy was gone he was the only survivor from the helicopter crash unfortunately everybody else KIA
Things in 21st Century: 1. VA actually does help veterans 2. Service families getting PTSD from housing 3. We have Tango Alpha Lima 4. Life is good - even when it hurts.
I guess you guys were filming at 12 noon when the video reaches @5:57 you can hear some type of electronic clock playing a tune once it reaches 12 noon. That or the doorbell, something was playing a tune at that moment in the video. 😂 lol
James, you look like a tough son of a gun, one look at you in the combat zone, I bet more than once the NVAtook 1 look at you and High tailed it back across the border.
@snausegman Shut the fuck up ya good. You talk big shit on facebook but are you in the military? Nah, just some fat slob sitting on his couch not man enough to enlist but man enough to run his mouth on youtube. Fucking coward.
