what about applying a tracking effect to a submaster of an edit from clip 1 to clip 2 -- I get "effect does not apply" when I try to add the 3D Warp to the submaster.
tutorials are soooo fing lonnnnnng. just get to the point, we dont need to see you resize the thing twice, the first time was painful enough. "use your arrows to change the size" is not the topic of the video. just. track. the. video.
at 1:45, how did you add a 3d warp to the layer on V2 and get it to NOT affect the BG layer on V1? Every time I do that and mess with scale it affects both layers. Searching the internet and forums confirms this is how it affects all the Avid users I've come across. Would love to know!
nvm sorry, This happens when I drop a 3D warp on a clip on V2 that already has an effect on it (in this case, an animatte). Going to need to do more reading about FX layering in Avid cuz it seems different than Adobe!
