When I was four years old, I lost my median nerve from mid-forearm to the digits, to a lipofibroma in the palm of my left hand. The physician who performed the surgery, David E. Lipton, worked on his own and with several other doctors to understand why my left hand was working so well. Since that time, 63 years ago, I have been highly interested in learning all that I can about the nerves of the hand. Your video presentation has been one of the best instructional videos on the median nerve. Thank you for posting this work!
I have bilateral median nerve issues which occurred during Whipple surgery that lasted 9-10 hours in duration. Upon awakening my thumb index and middle fingers were numb. Very little improvement after 2 months.
anyone got same as me? I was driving then I flipped over on my side, the driver's side. My arm was shattered. Multiple fractures in the humerus. After the life saving then examination, my nerves are fine, but I suffer from symptoms of the median nerve. A month has passed since the accident yet annoying numbness and lost of location of my left arm also my elbow stiffed
Thank you very much now I know why I'm having problems with my hands. Both my hands tingle like their asleep it's needles and pins when I wake up in the morning. And my #3 finger will get stuck and pop forward by its self.... I have a feeling it's my nerve from my shoulder. It's both hands. When I left heavy object I feel weak in my arms.

Thank you very much! After a fall on my palm in aug 12, the distal radius bone broke right at the joint, and since then I have the palm next to the thumb without feeling and the tips of the 4 corresponding fingers are numb. 2 weeks ago I have had surgery to the bone. Please, How long will it takes to the palm and fingers to get back to normal and how can I help. Thank you!
I can’t flex my bicep. Moving my forearm up and down in a hammering motion is very difficult- no pain just no control and I eventually lose the ability to move
@TheWWWDEATH I just saw a neurologist who suspects it's carpal tunnel. I just started a brace and hoping for the best. This injury is fairly common for middle aged males . Doing pt is important!
I have numbness of my thumb index and middle finger but it only occurs when I look up and to the right. I did not fall into the presented categories presented. Any thoughts?
I was bitten by a dog last week and I'm guessing something along these lines is happening with my median nerve. The pain and numbness and inability to do much of anything with that hand...is annoying!
@@RPostVideos u r still alive which says that you r not having rabies I suspect weakness of muscle I suggest you to meet a neurologist medicine and splint will do the job
