I've had this for a little over 3 years. It's a nice device. I'm really glad I got it. And it works you just plug in a hard drive or a good flash drive. But a hard drive works better. I think you'll enjoy it.
Yes, it definitely works better with the WD My Passport Essential 320 GB external hard drive than my Lexar 128 GB flash drive. There was some pixilation when using the flash drive. I'm glad you like it. Have a good weekend.
That remote (at103b) is identical to the one used for my Ematic converter box. Unfortunately I've had lots of trouble with the buttons sticking on it. I have to press really hard to get some of them to work. Of course, I've had it for about 5 years now. Hopefully you have better luck with yours. Thanks for the review.
I've heard about problems with the remote as well as the recording on certain flash and external drives, but I hope it works out. I'll be mainly using it for recording.
Thank you Jim. There are a few converters that do that, but I decided to get the Mediasonic Homeworx box. By the way, I would recommend using an external hard drive instead of a flash drive to record content. There was pixelation when using a flash drive.
Just to let know...not in a bad way...i have the homeworx its 2 of them: the hw150pvr, hw180stb and the viewtv the at-163 its also a converter box, - and love the review as well For my recordings i use a seagate 1tb hard drive.
Nice Mike what i have is the Core innovations CTCB105 Converter box with a Phillips tv antenna the one antenna man reviewed and a cheap onn Walmart antenna amplifier.
