Now this is a really cool concept for a game. A doctor simulator, but playing as a combat medic in a war zone of what looks like WW2. I also think it’s cool how you get see how a soldier’s wounds were treated back then.
Medic Pacific War is an upcoming small indie game, where you take the role of a combat medic, carrying soldiers to safety while avoiding fire from enemy soldiers/planes, and treating their specific injuries accordingly. There is also a timing element, some times you have to assess who is more likely to survive and chose who to leave behind. Keep in mind some of the game’s gore has been edited out for RU-vid. I was an early Kickstarter backer, its not a huge game, nor does it have amazing graphics, but I thought it was a decent effort to dive in a very interesting concept, that has lots of potential in the future. I can easily see this sort of gameplay getting polished and combined with more advanced stealth mechanics, and a more atmospheric environment and intense story telling (like in the movie Hacksaw Ridge) in a future game. You did everything right with the last wounded man, and you did not overtreat him in any way. You treated the wounds, dressed them, anaesthetised the patient, and then when you realised that the bleeding continued, you applied tourniquets and evacuated the fighter from the battlefield. Very good game, and you're a good player.
Not only do i think this is a cool concept for a game, but if FPS developers take inspiration by this game, lead to cooler or more realistic healing animation in the future.
This game is rlly cool but i feel like it REQUIRES animation blending and simple cloth deformation Like, id expect a tourniquet to actually tighten around the leg and pants instead of just go in circles and get replaced by a static model
It's a little bit fucked up that we can show videos of people's heads popping like overfed mosquitos, but in a video of HEALING people, you can't show the wounds. Also, man that guy in the beginning must've been thirsty to drink all that orange juice! Mm looks tasty!
This is a good game but i dont want to think how painful it had to get hit by a bullet. Worst getting healed because in those years Anesthesia didnt existed.
@@Ihere123Medics arent going to be the ones removing gauze or bandages. That'll typically be your doctor or surgeon behind lines at a hospital when they decide it's time for surgery or if the wound has healed.
I know this is nitpicky, but these aren’t soldiers and the title of your character won’t be “medic”. The Pacific Theater was fought by Marines and their “medics” are called Hospital Corpsman, or just corpsman for short. Still looks like a cool game though!
Sulfhemoglobinemia is a rare condition in which there is excess sulfhemoglobin (SulfHb) in the blood. The pigment is a greenish derivative of hemoglobin which cannot be converted back to normal, functional hemoglobin. It causes cyanosis even at low blood levels.
@@bradykirkman805Pretty sure it’s just the graphics of the game. It could look greenish from the devs attempt to show the fat on a persons body and leaking bile from punctured digestive organs.
I think games like battlefield should make healing animations like these, maybe you get shot in the arm then you or a medic has to treat that wound or you die, and the medic is more efficient at healing that a non-medic
It was a drug heavily used in WW2 to prevent infection. It has been discovered throughout military medicine that wound infections kills more than wounds themselves. So the idea was, you put this powder directly on the wound, take care of bleeding, and then give them their sulfa tablets so that way they potentially don't get infected. Nowadays we leave the infection thing to the hospitals, medics don't worry about wound infections on the field anymore. But they did back then.
Hey! Neat video, the concept of this game is really cool. I'm just gonna hijack this for a sec to say: tourniquets should be used as a *last resort only.* if applied correctly, they will cut off blood circulation and usually result in loss of limb. Keep on doing what you're doing, man!
that's not true at all. direct pressure only stops so much blood pouring out but if it's an arterial bleed the wounded can bleed out fast. thats why first you put on a tourniquet and then a haemostatic dressing. tourniquets will only do harm if they are on for more than 3 hours more or less
@@ISTHATAJOJOSREFERENCE I can't speak for ww2 but in modern military the first thing you do is slap on a hasty tourniquet. Once tje area is sercure or its safe to do so is when you get into all the other stuff.
Yeah, sorry for the delay, the kukri and cane sword that I uploaded didn't do well as I hoped, so I got a bit demoralized to continue and decided to prioritize other games for a bit, but I will upload the full Assassin's Creed Syndicate takedowns after a couple more games that I'm finishing.
que malos grafocps nole ponen empeño es un juego de guerra no de emfermeras asiq dede verse guerra atras del heridooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Just uploaded it! DLC takedowns will be in the next vid, had to split them hoping to avoid the vid getting restricted again because they are too extreme
