I never seen O.D stands for “once a day”, but more frequently used for “right eye”, at least in the U.S. QD stands for daily but this abbreviation was not recommended anymore.
q.d., q1d - intended to mean "every day" but can be misread as "q.i.d." or 4 times a. day. • q.o.d. - meant "every other day" but the "o" can be interpreted as "." or "i" resulting in confusion and prescription errors, so it is not used. OD or o.d., an abbreviation used in medical prescriptions for omne in die or "once daily" both meaning "take once every day" this is what we are taught in medical colleges all over the world, you can look up any pharmacy textbook for medical students, or books on how to write prescriptions you will find it there. however some doctors in certain parts of the world still continue to use qd, which is not wrong, but may result in something severe incase it is misread
Remember guys, these abbreviations depend on the pharmacy and how the surgeries work. Its not the same for everyone, if youre confused, consult your medical professional
