There really hasn't been much savings in the coverage gap. Drug manufacturers just hiked their retail prices. It's an illusion. ACA wound up hurting MA overall with higher out of pocket maximums by reducing the funding for MA

There are Medicare Advantage plans that work with Medicaid called D-SNPs. Enrolling in one is the best option if you have Medicaid as they tend to be stuffed with extra benefits.

that part A deductible is not "waived" if you have already paid it and have to come back in that 60 day period again, You have just already paid it.

Mary, thank you for your input, and yes you are correct, the deductible is not waived. Perhaps, more accurate wording would be the deductible is satisfied for that benefit period for that event.

I didn't qualify for Medicare because I didn't have enough work credits and was given Medicaid thru social security and Medicaid pays for everything.. I don't want to have to pay for advantage or supplement costs Because I don't get the full income ( I get only $841.00 a month) so I can't afford Medicare because it would take about half of my check.Can I keep Medicaid ?

None of those payments apply to you as long as your income is under Fed guideline and you still qualify for medicaid. Be sure you apply to have part B paid under low income subsidy (extra help) . Depending on your state, Medicaid paid by state, Medicare by federal.
