Small space decorators know the bigger the mirror, the larger a room can appear! This tiny bathroom, all 40 square feet of it, has only one humble medicine cabinet mirror. If you are a renter or not quite ready for a large renovation of your bathroom, here's how to create a removable mirror frame complete with magnets that will give any small mirror a little more presence and gravitas in a space. And the best part is that you can take it with you when you move.
I call this DIY project a "quickie" because it will take you less than 2 hours to make. It's also very easy on the pocketbook. Give it a whirl in your space and let me know how it works out for you!

What a really cool idea! I like how the frame turned out - it gives a beachy feel. I like the idea of using the “stretcher bar” to make the frame foundation. It saves a lot of time. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Laurie!! Those are salvaged picture frames I collected from the flea market and Home Goods. A lot of them were on clearance because the glass was cracked and since I was planning on removing all of the glass, I scored big time. The trick is to paint them all with a matte chalk paint in white and layer them in eye-catching ways. Maybe I’ll include them in an upcoming episode. When I lived in NYC, I used the same concept and painted the frames a charcoal color and hung them on a charcoal wall in my living room. The frames mimicked the look of molding.
